initiated the last confrontation.  Therefore no real harm just some hurt pride 
and humble pie, so Andy let it slide.

Alumni sighting

[Ron McLendon]

Made a triple sighting today while watching GetTV.  On a 1958 episode of Yancy 
Derringer, I saw Woody Chambliss (Harlan Robinson / Mr. Hendricks), Chubby 
Johnson (Mr. Carter), and John Qualen (Henry Bennett).  Mr. Chambliss played 
the part of "Captain Tom", Mr. Johnson was "Spinner", and Mr. Qualen was 
"Captain Sven Larsen".  Kinda nice to get three for one.

Ken, I think I can pinpoint your trouble.If you want to see yourself on 
MeTV, try the following:1.   Turn on MeTV.   2.   Darken the room.3.   
Move very close to the television and peer closely at the screen, and I predict 
you will be able to see yourself on MeTV.


Orville Hendricks - Mount Pilot Butter and Egg Man



We tried Me TV for a while and we were totally disappointed with it.  We
watched it for about two weeks and there was not one single thing on it
about me.  I wrote a letter to the company complaining.  I haven't heard
back yet.

R.I.P. Bernard Fox, aka Malcolm Merriweather

A very sad goodbye to Bernard Fox, who has died at age 89, leaving Mayberry on 
his bicycle for a final journey.




A familiar face to TAGS fans as 'Malcolm Merriweather' in three episodes, 
"Andy's English Valet," "The Return of Malcolm Merriweather" and "Malcolm at 
the Crossroads."  

TV viewers also know Bernard as 'Dr. Bombay' on BEWITCHED, 'Col. Crittendon' on 
HOGAN'S HEROES, and many more roles on shows like THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, 
COLUMBO and THE DANNY THOMAS SHOW.  Before he retired, Bernard had featured 
roles in the motion pictures TITANIC (1997) and THE MUMMY (1999).




A very nice guy and I enjoyed the times I had the opportunity to meet and talk 
with him.  Rest in peace.

Alumni Sighting

   Sunday morning I got a triple TAGS alumni sighting in the most unusual 
place.I was watching GetTV and they were playing a really old western 
"Yancey Derringer".Playing Yancey's uncle, who gets murdered, was Mr. 
Carter from the feud episode.Then later on in the episode I spotted Henry 
Bennett, and of all things Orville Hendricks.
