As we all know,TAGS gave away no free advertising. All product names & logos
were covered up.I can think

of one brand that slipped through the cracks. Can you name at least one name
brand that was either spoken

or seen.Does not include any automobile insignia.

John Travolta's white suit from "Saturday Night Fever" was auctioned off for
$145,500;Judy Garland's ruby slippers

for $165,000;Charlie Chaplin's hat & cane for $211,500;Elvis's jacket for
$59,700;and John Lennon's glasses for

$25,875.Makes one wonder what Barney's gun/holster set would go for.

A few years back I asked Karen Knotts if she knew where the pair(s) were and
she replied she did not know.

John Masters

2017-01-24 Thread Ken Anderson
I always wondered what happened to John Masters as we never saw him in any
color episodes that I can remember. Well, I was watching an old Dragnet
1967 and there he was. He was an explosive expert and helped track down
stolen dynamite. Guess he had enough of old 14A so he moved to Los Angeles.

RE: WBMUTBB Digest, Vol 18, Issue 20 - Bike Licenses

2017-01-24 Thread Ron McLendon
I grew up in Greensboro, NC and bike licenses were only governed by the cities.
It was more than 50 years ago since I got mine and I still remember the
number. The metal license plates were dark red with embossed black numbers,
about 2" x 3" and were attached with little metal strips on the frame just
under the back of the seat. They had the city, state at the top in smaller
letters with the 4-digit license plate number in larger letters in the center -
- much like auto license plates now.

Little Fat Mayor

2017-01-24 Thread dewey lamb
I recently watched several episodes of The Red Skelton Show. One of them
featured Dick Elliott(mayor).

He played the part of a big mustachioed bartender in a western scene.I'm
assuming the mustache was

a movie prop.Very good actor.

Bike Licenses

2017-01-24 Thread CTMIDWAY58
Licenses may make it easy to track a bike, but if you flip it over, on the
bottom of the bike is a serial number. Write it down. Makes it easy to
track a bike as most common thieves don't know this!
I still get my kicks out of Barney and The Choir. Nothing could be
funnier! Good ole 14A is the best song ever for them, but wonder why they had
a
concert and sang only one song???
