Such sadness to hear of the passing of George Spence. 
His booming voice will be missed.
His wild stories will be missed.
His dramatic readings at Col. Tim's will be missed.
His wide smile will be missed.
You left us too soon, George!  but, you had a good, full life and leave many 
friends behind.

Goober's Accomplishments

I liked to watch the growth in Goober over the years, but I believe it was
Gomer who was saving up to be a doctor (Man in a Hurry)

Goober's Accomplishments

One of the things I really enjoy when watching TAGS and Mayberry RFD is to
observe the changes in Goober.  When we first met Goober, his only talents
were sewing up his fingers, impersonating Chester and Edward G. Robinson,
and saying " Judy Judy Judy".  Of course he was working part time at
Wally's in order to make money to become a doctor.

However, over the years, Goober had quite a few accomplishments.  He became
the owner of his own gas station, he was elected to the town council, he
dated a psychologist, he taught driver's education at the high school, he
was elected to be a church elder, and he also became the only police
officer in all of Mayberry.

So over the years, Goober made a lot of improvements in his life.  I bet
his brother Braydon was finally really proud of him.
