Fishing

2019-04-27 Thread Ken Anderson
If you care to read my monthly article for May, you can find it at the
following link.
https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/179900_839d0ac47c1f4165aaeded42e36bc89b.pdf
I wrote about fishing.

While writing it, I came up with 26 episodes of TAGS where there was some
kind of fishing theme within the episode. I threw away my list after I
wrote the article, but I am pretty sure it was 26.

How many episodes can you name that were fishing related?

Correction

2019-04-27 Thread Ken Anderson
I made a mistake in my posting. The article I wrote about fishing will be
in the June publication. The link I posted will take you to the May
edition and my article is about "Small Town Politics".
I write for five publications and sometimes I get confused as to what I
sent where.
It comes with my age.

Regarding Good Ole 14A

2019-04-27 Thread ctmidway58
Good ole 14A was written sometime before 1894.
It was composed by Anton Rubenstein of Russia who lived 1929 - 1894, and is, if
you want to get technical, Melody in F  Opus 3  #1.
If it comes thru, here is the link: If not, Google Anton Rubenstein, melody in
F opus 3 #1 and you'll get several different versions.

"Local politics"

2019-04-27 Thread Joe
Great article, Ken - especially the part thanking all those who serve
locally in "thankless" jobs.

With respect to Mayberry, I enjoyed the roles played by both mayors. The
writers apparently were pretty cynical, since Mayor Pike and Mayor Stoner
both were portrayed as bumbling, kind of pompous politicians who would
change their positions whichever way the wind was blowing. I liked it when
Andy turned out always to be right at the end, in his modest, homespun,
commonsense way.
