Question about Andy being in the Lower fifth
Thank you for the link to that delightful story on Betty Lynn; just confirms what we've known all along!Now a question: when Andy mentions being in the lower fifth grade and his sweetheart being in the upper, I am not familiar with this concept at all. Can anyone out there enlighten me? Was it to divide up the two different ages or what? I've never heard of this anywhere else but on TAGS. I do remember that in seventh grade in Calif I went to what was called half-day sessions as the school was so crowded. I went from 12:05 till 4:30 and the classes were less than an hour but I never felt short-changed; I actually have fond memories of that year when I first took a music course along with art appreciation. New Mayberry Products
I have several of the products. Have tried the Muffin Mix and it is good. I have a brother that works for a Food Brokerage Firm, he works Alabama and Georgia. he said Piggly Wiggly, AG Stores, Mitchell and Super Value are some of the stores that will be stocking the products. Not sure if Wal-Mart will be stocking them. he said they should be in stores by October. but he will let me know. That was the first time that I have seen it. it was a cute movie. I plan to watch it again, if its on again. I woke up sometime early Monday morning around 2 or 2:30 AM and My TV was on. Its was on the Game Show Network Channel, The Old Game Show What's my Line was on and in black and white, and you know they always had a guest celebrity, well the guest was Andy Griffith and he gave his answers with an English Accent and they could not who he was. don't know what year it was but the Gomer Pyle Show was mention so it had to be 1964 or after. did anyone else see the show? This Monday morning on TV Land, The Leave it to Beaver Show, the story was about Beaver not eating his Brussels Sprouts, The family was going to a football game and they were in a restaurant and the family was served Brussels sprouts, and again Beaver did not want to eat them. the manager came over to see what was going on. and the Manager was TAGS Otis Campbell. This must to have been before Otis started drinking.
