Andy's Passing
I know I sent in a post the other evening but I felt compelled to send this one. I was thinking about Andy singing There is a Time from the Guest in the House episode. I've always been a little more partial to The Darlings version in The Darling Baby but I wanted to hear Andy's version again. After watching it this afternoon I understood why I wanted to hear it. It is such a deep, contemplating version. Wow! You have to wonder if Frances Bavier and Jan Shutan (who played Gloria) were acting or actually caught up in the moment. Andy's Passing
I would like to share my feeling of loss with all our other Mayberry family members. Andy certainly was a role model for so many people and the values and insights that he passed on to all of us through his portrayal of Sheriff Andy Taylor will stay with us forever. Growing up without a father around I especially needed someone to help guide me through my growing up years. But as became an adult and continued watching TAGS Andy continued teaching me the importance of true friendships and that fact that all people have value and deserve to be treated with respect no matter who they may be or what their circumstances. Our local newspaper and TV station both contacted me asking me to share some thoughts with them about Andy's passing which I thought was a very nice thing for them to do. Rest in Peace Andy, for you are back home among all those who had gone before you. Enjoy your great reunion. -- Ken Anderson The Mayberry Guru 2906 May Street Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701 www.mayberryreflections.com ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
