Re: Man in a Hurry

Yes, "Man in a Hurry" is my all-time favorite episode also. "The Sermon for
Today" is my second favorite since it also takes place on a Sunday.

Andy said pulling horse hair out of the suit would make the material get soft.
I love that episode!

Man in a Hurry Answer

Andy then asks Opie, “You want your suit to get soft?” I suppose horse
hairs were used in suits to keep their shape. That’s just a guess.

Man in a Hurry and Mr. Foster

2021-04-22 Thread Randy Everette
I just saw the Foster's Furniture Polish episode (color) for the first time
in decades.

I'd forgotten that the same man who played Mr. Foster also played the Man
in a Hurry.

Man in a Hurry Malcolm Tucker sighting

2012-06-26 Thread BP
I've been DVR'ing several old shows lately and saw our own Malcolm Tucker
from Man in a Hurry on The Brady Bunch.

He was a judge in small claims court where Carol Brady was hit in the
grocery store parking lot by the nefarious Mr. Duggan.

There is difference between a law and ammunition. So, I think they were
referring to a law in a town called Green River, which could have about
peddling ammunition without a town license.

lol

I am not sure of the episode, but I believe Andy and Barney harmonize on
Little Brown Church.
I think that was on the show Man in a Hurry.

This was many years ago, but even back then it was hard to find a 12 year old
that was a Perry Como fan.
I can remember Perry Como on the kitchen radio at home singing Catch a
Falling Star
that is amazing, though.

Man in a Hurry

2007-11-23 Thread MeInMayberry

Here's something I noticed recently...
In Man in a Hurry, Malcolm Tucker approaches Andy after services. They
are in Mayberry's residential area--homes are seen in the background (I even
think Andy's house is seen in the background--no need for the squad car!) .
When they do a close-up scene, suddenly the background is quite different,
with
main street buildings in the background. I wonder what causes that!

Man in a Hurry

2007-08-09 Thread Paul Mulik
But there is one troubling aspect of the show, and I'm not talking
about how the man walking into to town, right up to the Taylors coming out
of church and addresses Sheriff Taylor by name..

We didn't see it happen, but I figure Mr. Tucker approached someone outside
the church and explained his predicament. Most any Mayberryian would have
responded with something like, Sheriff Taylor will help you, that's him
over there by the police car. Now if I could just figure out why Andy
drove to church in the first place, when his house is just a hundred feet
away.
