Barney reciting the preamble to the Constitution
While watching Andy holding the book on Barney while he recites the Preamble, we are all aware of Barney's hair. It came to me that since they only used one camera they had to shoot the same scene several times. The hair was a side effect of this method. I'm sure that side effect is what caused many of the visual mistakes we have seen throughout the show. I think it also added to the humor for us now. Preamble to the United States Constitution
I was watching Barney resite the Preamble to the US Constitution on TAGS yesterday, (to me one the funniest scene ever done on the show) and I noticed that Barney's hair changes from neat to messed up and back to neat and again back to messed up and so on. As many times as I have seen this episode, this was the first time I noticed that. I guess that has something to do with several separate shooting of the scene. Any thoughts? Was wondering what episode(s) Andy quizzed Barney on his memory. I thought of this episode recently while working with a coach on a type of memorized catechism I'm working on for a fraternal organization. None of it is written, and is taught from mouth to ear. I thought I had a certain rather long paragraph memorized well, but needed assistance with the first word. After needing basically the whole long paragraph verbatim from the trainer, I had to chuckle at the end when he asked if I was ready to recite it again, and in my best Barney, said Nope, I got it.
