That is indeed the only mention in the entire series of a stoplight in Mayberry (and we never see said stoplight). While we're on the subject, can anybody make head of tail out of Andy's directions? The center of town has to be the courthouse/barber shop/drugstore area, right? Andy's house is half a block from the courthouse, but according to the directions he gives Malcolm, one must travel several blocks from Andy's house to reach the center of town!
