RingTones for your Phone

2010-01-21 Thread Allan Newsome

Hey folks,

We get the question quite often here at WBMUTBB about TAGS ring tones
for you phone. WBMUTBB member, Debbie Ritter, found a place to get
those asked for ring tones (as well as many other ring tones). Here is
her note:

A while back, I remember folks asking where to find Mayberry ring
tones. A friend pointed me to the site www.phonezoo.com
http://www.phonezoo.com or just phonezoo...there are several and I
finally found one that works on my ATT phone. They are all free as well.

Please feel free to pass this info along if you feel its appropriate.

Lots of Luck to You and Yours,
 Deb Ritter

Thank you, Deb! I'm sure this information will be helpful to many
Mayberry folks.

just to let you all know, you can record anything with your cell phone, and
put it as a ring tone. I just found out I could do that, and put my cell
phone by my computer, played the andy griffith song, , pushed a couple of
buttons on my cell phone, and now I have the song when it rings. didn't cost
me
anything. I'm sure all of you have that capability on your phones, its just
the figurin' it out thing that's hard.

Hi

Several cellphone carriers are providing mayberry ringtones for purchase and
download to your computer and/or cellphone. Check to see what prices or fees
apply. Some are one time purchases.

I have verizonwireless and here is there link. They do offer the 'fishing
hole' mayberry ringtone.

My Fellow Mayberrians,
I want to first apologize for writing this post. I know its been on here
many times, but I never wrote down the information because I didnt need it
until now. I am looking to buy a one time fee of The Fishin Hole ringtone.
Some out there are monthly fees, dont want that. Can anyone out there in
Mayberry let me know of one? We have Verizon here in our area.
The Mayorial Debate was fun too, it was like we were right there in Mayberry.
  Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to find out where I can download The Fishin Hole song to

I'd appreciate some help from my TAGS friends.

There aren't any free ringtones.
There's a charge for every ring (tone). Air(not really) and water(maybe),
they're free.
You know how long they'd stay in business if ringtones were free. Not very long.

Just a note of warning:
Many of these FREE ringtones require a subscription to their service at
anywhere from $4.99 to 9.99 a month, so be careful of downloading what may
appear to be a 'free' ringtone to your cell phone.
Someone once sent me a program diagram where the codes could be punched in
by hand and it worked wonderfully!!
If that is still available, perhaps they can send it out once more. It takes
longer but it is definitely totally free with no side charges for a
subscription.

Please forgive me for bringing up the subject of ringtones again, but I am
in need of some help. A few years ago I was able to put in the TAGS theme
on my phone

by manually punching in the tones. I just bought a new phone, and I didn't
save those instructions for doing it manually. Is it still possible to do it
that way, rather than downloading from some company that wants my phone
number? Any help or reference to a website would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to email me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks, and lotsa

Mayberry Ringtones Easy w/Verizon phones

2006-08-17 Thread Dwmckim
Hi everyone out there in Mayberryland,

I just discovered an easy way to send Mayberry ringtones to PIX messaging
capable/enabled Verizon cellphones. Those with Verizon capable cellphones and
interested can try this: go to https://www.vzwpix.com/login.do to set up your
account so that your cellphone can receive Pictures, sounds, more. Once your
account is set up you can upload the ringtones from your computer to vzwpix and
send it to your cellphone (might be more secure way?) or just email the
ringtone to your cellphone from the Internet (your computer). This is much
easier
than going to some of these ringtone sites on the Internet or better than
trying to surf the Internet for ringtones with your cellphones. There is a very
small fee not sure how much yet, but pictures have been costing me 25 cents per
PIC).

So, once you are set up with Verizon's vzwpix place, just try this (this
method is the easiest): Save Mayberry sounds to your computer (.wav or .midi
sound
files with maximum length 30 seconds and 300kb size). Send an email from your
computer with the mayberry sound file attached to the email and email the
sound file (which can be used as a ringtone) to your Verizon wireless phone
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Download the sound and save to your phone.

Works good and now I have Mayberry sounds on my cellphone.

Mayberry says Thanks Happy Motoring,
