I would be sure that the table that you are trying to update is an actual table and not a view. Also, as someone else suggested, put a breakpoint in your code where the final sql query string is created, copy that query and run it against the db using Management Studio. You will get an error message there if there is one. Greetings. I wanted to introduce myself to the group, as I am new here. I am a web developer in Vermont. I am currently working for a PHP development shop that has an in-house CMS. I am starting a new job in a week for a large company doing .NET development. I have worked in Boston and in Hartford, CT in the last couple of years for a web startup and a pharmaceutical company. Eventually I want to develop a product of my own and start a business. Thanks Peter. Does anyone know how many users there are on this list? My wife just joined a mailing list for lawyers and there are thousands of active readers. It reminded me what I used to like about mailing lists. I especially like the way gmail formats the threads vs the way outlook or other mail readers do it. So far there seem to be more UK members on the two lists I have joined in the past couple of days. Is that my imagination?
