I am using web2py version 2.14.6-stable + timestamp.2016.05.10.00.21.47 with mongodb version 2.6, when using the fields list: string these are inserted correctly in the database but when they are modified they change coding eg [u ' Zxcvzxc '], [u'zxc'], [u'vzxcv '], [u'zx'], [] Sorry for my English
