Thank you to bring this up.
I was actually going to report the same issue.

I have a check box in a form. After I checked and click submit, it
will be unchecked(Reset) if there is validation error on the form.

Ah, so there _is_ an issue tracker... I found one on Google Code, but
there's no link to it from web2py.com, only to Google Groups. I'm
opening a ticket there in a moment.
