Note: already posted a working fix for the recipe at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/web2py-usuarios/5borwCNAXQc/-F_GsFWGeeUJ You appear to be calling the action with .xml but the data returned by the action is not serializable in xml. In nabvar.py, response.menu is set to a generator, but the MENU helper docstring specifies a list of lists as input. Did MENU accept a generator in previous versions? If so, there is a backwards compatibility issue.
