Call me old-fashioned, but I for one *prefer* the paper book to online
8O)

Online is a good fall-back if I can't find what I want.

Things are moving quickly - when will the next paper version be
available?

LOL. Perhaps one day I will ask you something like that.

Actually my department is very open-minded, both colleagues and
administration.
We have been offering CS intro sequence in python for log time. We had
one of the first programs in security in the US certified as center of
excellence by the NSA. We had one of the first degrees in video game
programming. Allmost all out CS courses are available online (although
not free).

That is exactly what he have been doing in the last year. The online
book is a wiki. The printed book is produced, automatically, from the
online one.

I work in a university. My merit review (salary, promotions, etc)
depend on my publications. Books on paper count. Books online do not.
