auth = Auth(db, function='index') will move all the Auth actions to the index function.
auth.settings.login_url = URL('default', 'index') will move just the login action (i.e., redirects for login will go there). Consider that with this approach, you will be generating a login form on every home page load (there is some overhead involved with that).
