Well, I ended up having to wipe the db to get this cleared up. That's on the dev machine. Hopefully I won't get bitten when I move to the server, where the real data are. I'm pretty sure it's because of a prior change to the db and some duplicated names from prior iterations that didn't get resolved correctly. Chalk it up to the vicissitudes of making changes to existing db...
