WebKit runs on Linux using either the Qt and Gtk toolkits.
Information on building for these ports is available at and
respectively.

A meta-port of Webkit, relying on a library granularity, also runs
flawlessly on linux and ucLinux. It's currently only available from an
external repository (www.sand-labs.org/owb) while we are waiting for
an answer from webkit.org wrt opening an OWB branch

Obviously, I meant : ucLibC, sorry if it generated any confusion.

[webkit-dev] curl in webkit

2007-12-12 Thread zaheer ahmad
hi,
i would like to know if CURLINFO_CONTENT_LENGTH_DOWNLOAD option works in the
httpheader callback (the url is a downloadable content (
http://www.cluetrain.com/cluetrain.pdf).

It seems to work only in the write callback. Any inputs on why it does not
work in header callback would be very helpful.

thanks,
Zaheer

[webkit-dev] Layout test failure

2007-12-12 Thread Rui Jiang

Hi all,

Pardon me for this newbie problem. I just followed instructions on
webkit.org, got a clean svn checkout yesterday, did a build and all
successful. However, when I ran the layout test, they all failed.

I could run safari, it works mostly when browsing webpages, however,
whenever I type in the address bar, it crashes.

I build and run on WinXP SP2. I tried to make it work numerous times before
but still couldn't get it right...

I have put sample output below, and attached diffs of first 3 tests in
css1/basic.

Thanks and I appreciate your help!
Rui

This was a bug introduced yesterday and already fixed - please update
again!

As for layout test failures - I think that on Windows, this is expected
behavior, because of how tests are set up internally by Apple. Maybe I'm
missing something though.
