Hi All,
Nowadays there were too many svn.webkit.org downtime which made
folks and buildbots many times so sad (and rm -rf and new checkout).
I have a constructive proposal how can we make the world better. I started
to experiment how can we setup read-only SVN mirror(s) and how can we make
buildbots use them instead of the master svn.webkit.org server.
Now we have an internal SVN mirror for our 14 buildslaves on
build.webkit.sed.hu.
They work quite stable 2 weeks ago. And we are going to make our 7 buildslaves
on build.webkit.org too to use our SVN mirror.
I created a patch for the master.cfg of build.webkit.org to make it possible to
add more and more SVN mirrors to make buildslaves much more faster and unburden
the regularly overloaded svn.webkit.org server.
Here is the bug report and the first WIP (but working stable) patch:
[Bug 85887] Add SVN mirror handling feature to build.webkit.org
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85887
Feedbacks are welcome.
PS. Now a new checkout is 3-5 minutes for us instead of 2-3-4 hours. ;-)
br,
Ossy

Hi,
Many contributors in #webkit have problems to connect to bugs.webkit.org.
Wiliam could you look at it?
Thanks.
Problems here at Szeged as well. Trac, svn, bugzilla is dumb, however I have no
problem with #webkit.

I think you have the same problem as Gustavo. His email to webkit-dev
seems to imply a problem in between Brazil and webkit.org.

I guess kov is also in Brazil and I just saw him mentioning on IRC that
" both bugs.webkit.org and git.webkit.org are timing out"...

Hi,
It seems that *.webkit.org are down (bugs.webkit.org,
trace.webkit.org,
...).
I can confirm here in Maryland, USA that www, bugs, trac, etc. are
all
up.
Here in Brazil we can't access to any of them. I tried two different
internet providers with their own DNS and I even tried google DNS
with no
luck.
Might you try OpenDNS? 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220
Talking to some people in #webkit it seems that not everyone is
affected
(maybe only people outside US?).
Anyone who knows where the servers sits would mind to have a look at
them?
Thank you very much.
