Re: Problem with Golipse build 13 [SOLVED]
Looks like the problem was I had some jar files in /Library/Java/Extensions including log4j-1.2.15.jar . Not sure why they were there because I know it causes problems putting jars in there, but I removed them all and the install proceeded past the failure point. It still hung frequently and I had to Cancel and Go! again about 5 times, getting a little bit further each time until finally installed. Looks like the eclipse plugin installer is flaky, but that is outside golipse's control. Re: Error: table "eof_tmp_table" does not exist.
Made some progress! I uninstalled eclipse 3.7.1 and installed eclipse 3.6 along with the appropriate version of WOlips. I made a very simple project with an eomodel of just one table. Amazingly, I can see and open the java files that were eogenerated just fine. I previously made the same small project using 3.7.1 and had my dreaded "can't see eogenerated folder" issue. Apparently, there is a bug in eclipse 3.7.1. At any rate, I'm going to try to move forward with eclipse 3.6. Re: ERSync?
Greetings Amy, Dave, Chuck, anyone, Does any one have any idea if ERSync could be expanded to handle synchronization to include document based applications? The shoe-box applications seems to be the current model for both the iOS and Mac. I was struck by a sort of revelation this weekend to construct a kind of shoe-box ERSync Cocoa app with scriptable capabilities that supplies subclass of NSAtomicStore. The premise is that the shoe-box app would serve kind of the same function as the ERSync framework does in the WO app except for the Cocoa app. The NSAtomicStore subclass would enable the user to call up the document (or shoe-box app) via their own app. The ERSync Cocoa shoe-box app would give the user a sort of user level admin capability over all ERSync enabled apps on their Mac (kind of a D2W for the shoe-box). The gotcha came when I considered the possibility of a document-based app using the NSAtomicStore subclass. Any ideas? I will try at first under the presumption that document-based apps don't exists. I am not sure how long that fairy will stay away for, I forgot to give him Guinness. Re: Problem with Golipse build 13
Tim, Thanks for updating the wiki. I just downloaded build 13 and tried it here. Worked fine. It looks like it encountered a network error for you (repositories off line?). Try running it again. Problem with Golipse build 13
I want to upgrade my Eclipse from 3.6 to 3.7.1 so I am trying Golipse for the first time on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The wiki page ( http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WO/WO+5.4+Getting+Started ) was linking to https://github.com/downloads/rebeld/Golipse/Golipse.app_build_12.zip but that file did not exist. I discovered a build 13 so I have updated the wiki page to link to build 13. I hope this was the right thing to do. I ran Golipse but it appears the plugins were not installed. The last few lines in the Golipse window say Downloading and Installing the recommended Eclipse plugins ... Installation failed. Unable to load repositories. Application failed, log file location: /Users/tim/Applications/eclipse/configuration/1321835310888.log Cleaning up ... You should be good to go. Eclipse is installed in '/Users/tim/Applications/eclipse'. I checked the log file and it had lots of errors about NoClassDefFound HttpClient (see below). Regards Tim $ cat /Users/tim/Applications/eclipse/configuration/1321835310888.log !SESSION 2011-11-21 10:28:30.638 --- eclipse.buildId=M20110909-1335 java.version=1.6.0_26 java.vendor=Apple Inc. The "eo" folder is in the Sources package. Even so, I included it in the Sources build path and it still doesn't work. Very frustrating. Re: null pointer maven create project (Mr. G Brown)
Hmmm The current references things like: org.objectstyle.woproject.maven2 erxapplication-archetype 2.1-SNAPSHOT http://maven.wocommunity.org/content/groups/public-snapshots wonder application (snapshot) However, these things are not in the repository. ? I am thinking the maven documentation needs some cleanup/reorg. I think a page "Currently Recommended Versions and Roadmap", which would be the one place to look for the current versions of this stuff to use. Maybe my problem is most of the archetypes are 2.1 snapshots, which I can't find, and I was using a different version. i know there are some big projects using sencha, but jquery on the whole has huge momentum behind it. we decided that even though jquery mobile is playing catchup at the moment we don't doubt it will win in the end. sencha also has one of those dubious "free commercial" licensing programs, and everyone on this list knows what a pain in the ass they can be :-) simon On 20 November 2011 03:55, James Cicenia wrote: > What made you go with jquery mobile vs Sencha?
