Problem description:

The topic set for the #documentfoundation IRC channel is currently:

---
Public discussions on TDF - next public Board call Wednesday, Jan 9th at 1600
UTC"
---

Given that it's February 10th today, the topic is either a month late, or 11
months early :-)

Proposed Fix:

Change the channel topic to mention the next meeting (which I think will be Feb
20th, per this page: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/TDF/BoD_Meetings), or
just remove the date-specific reference and say "BoD calls take place every 2nd
Wednesday at 1600 UTC and last for 1 hour."
Operating System: All
Version: unspecified

This bug fixed.

On the release notes page there is no correct and complete Version identifyer.
In "Help About" the version info is "Version 4.0.0.3", and this has to be
mentioned in the release notes. Because we do not state in 'Help About' whether
a 4.0.0.2 is a final or a rc, it is mandatory that users can check on our
website whether their installed LibO is an RC or a final.

Please clarify:
Is: "This release is bit-for-bit identical to the 4.0.0 Release Candidate 3
..."
Should be: "Release 4.0.0.3 is bit-for-bit identical to the 4.0.0.3 Release
Candidate ..."

Same for 3.6.5:
Is: "This release is bit-for-bit identical to the 3.6.5 Release Candidate 2
..."
Should be: "Release 3.6.5.2 is bit-for-bit identical to the 3.6.5.2 Release
Candidate ..."

or similar!

May be that in "4.0.0.3" the ".3" can be shown in grey? Or is that only more
worrying. Someone with design skills should decide.

I confirmed and set this to new. -- Marc

On Step #3 and Step #4 of the BSA, the user is not prompted to select or enter
data in particular fields. It can be unclear what fields must be filled for the
bug submission process to continue.

Suggested Fix:

Make a 'Next' button visible from the start. If the user clicks the Next button
and additional information/selections are required, give the user instructions
(in red text) next to each required field.

Note: This might be related to bug 60207.

The most important goal of a bug report is to make reporter's problem
reproducible for LibO staff; it's not enough only to tell that a problem does
exist. That's an important difference, and so it's wrong to ask a user to
describe his problem, we should ask him to tell us how we can reproduce the
problem.

My suggestion how to tell you find here:

I think you have to ping Alex directly, since I am not in the know at
all what kind of customizations we have done, and whether we have been
trying to upstream these already.

In general, I agree - making them upstream is best, of course, since
contributing to open source projects is fun. :) Should upstream not
work, a plugin (if AskBot has something like that) might be an option, too.

I know Alex needed to make some code changes, but I don't know the

Hi,

Sometimes we forgot to update the Portable section's dowload links to
newer versions. I think other local website admins can miss it too. Is
it possible to manage the section automatically as the normal donwload
section?

Btw, i don't know how the portableapps and our links sync but, now i
see that the portableapps.com serves 4.0.1 but our download section
serves 4.0.0.3. And if it is tested by us, nearly 20 days passed after
the last version of the portableapps.com which dated 07 March.

As far as i know from my network, portable version is widely used. It
will be better to have portableapps statistics and combine it to us :)

Best regards,
Zeki

I have some experience with django. What exactly in django are we wanting to

[libreoffice-website] [Bug 62660] New: BUGZILLA: Add Android to OS list

2013-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62660

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 62660
CC: jmadero@gmail.com, michael.me...@novell.com,
website@global.libreoffice.org
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: BUGZILLA: Add Android to OS list
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: WWW
   Product: LibreOffice

We have some more or less intensive development on Android software with
"LibreOffice on Android" and "LibreOffice Impress Remote for Android". Needs
for these activities are very different to those for all other OS (or even do
not exist for other OS. We should have this OS in the selector, because
creation of reliable queries and feeds become much more easy if we can
distinguish Android from a rather meaningless "Other OS".

Our (and from other projects) [2] activity on Android exceeds activity on some
time-honored OS [1]

@ESC:
Please forward to Product=FDO - Component=Bugzilla for a fix if you agree.
