Hi Andreas,

Sorry for getting in on this so late,

Le 2013-11-01 06:47, Andreas Mantke a écrit :

Hello,

we currently handle new accounts on the LibreOffice templates and
extensions site with a request form. I worked on this form today and
added the display of errors for the required fields to the form. Every
required field in the form gets a red background with an error message
if the value is not correct. The user will get this information once he
finished the form for the first time (including the capture text).

If she/he correct the error the red background will varnish.

You could find the form with the new feature at
http://templates.libreoffice.org/@@hosting-your-template

If I hear no objections up to tomorrow I will implement the same for the
LibreOffice extensions site.

Regards,
Andreas

Looks great and red background boxes work well.

I would suggest:

* add a comma here: "... is already taken, we will add ..."

* change: "Your email address" to "Your Email Address" --> this follows
the same capitalizing format used in the next title "Short Description
of Your ..."

* if the email address is mandatory, then I don't think you need the
"(tied to your account)" words. I would remove it and just put
(mandatory) or (required) or something like that. I think most extension
submitters would expect this and this will make it easier to translate
for the nl groups.

The page works well on my Mageia Linux Chromium (ver. 30.0.1599.66)

Thanks for all of the work you do on the extensions sites and everything
else too! It is really appreciated.

Yes, without this double @ you would not see anything. It's the URL of
the form view.

I tested myself with Chromium on openSuSE 12.3-x64 and it works out of
the box (not slow, but fast).

Done. It was only a ticket in the OTRS so far.

O.K.

This works so far :) I have tested it without last name filled, too
short description and the like ... ;)

Is this double "@@" really needed? If I open it in Chromium Version
30.0.1599.101 Debian jessie/sid (227552) on Debian Testing AMD64, I
always get

No data received

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

... :( Interestingly, neither lynx Version 2.8.8dev.12 (22 Feb 2012)
nor Firefox version 28.0a1 (2013-10-31) have any problem with it
(though FF needs a couple of seconds to load it ... ;) ).

No objections from my side, but would you be so kind to delete my
test account, please?
