Re: [libreoffice-website] Re: QA Core Team Website
I had when people claim to be someone else. As for the yahoo person, I hope you get your ban in place. Maybe send an email to Yahoo's administrators and tell them this person is using their service and claiming to be you to get permission[s] to TDF system[s] and servers. Yahoo might have to remove this person from their service. Send them the email[s] where he claims to be you, with full headers and such, to prove it came from their system. Then they will be required to look into this claim. It is like the spammer who claimed to be me, stating the sender was my email address, but sent from a different one, and sending it to my email address it claimed to be from.i.e. my throw away email address [on one of my domains] as the sender - sent to my throw away email address. It actually came from a Yahoo account as well. In the end, that Yahoo account was closed down. Also, my TDF [membership] address is different from the rest of the lists' email addresses. I never use a Yahoo, Google, or any other email address that is not from one of my domains. Hi everyone, I really do think, that we are ready for SilverStripe access. For a quicker startup, I would like to propose to do the following things: (most of the points are for SilverStripe admins [speaking of Erich and Christian]...) * Login URL ( IMHO it is: https://qa.libreoffice.org/admin ) * Persons with admin privileges should be: o Joel (Hopefully registered. If not please do so) o Robinson (He should be in the system) o Joren DC (He should be in the system, I guessed his email) o Me (This e-mail should be registered) * Are there some false friends? I think we should be able to do the rest :) -- Liebe Grüße, / Yours, Florian Reisinger -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Re: [libreoffice-website] Re: QA Core Team Website
When I look at all the formats in the Get Involved website page, all of the teams give an introductory blurb of their section and then move the user to their wiki site. Are you suggesting that you would rather do this on the website rather than on the wiki? IMO, this would be better put on the wiki where the QA membership could update the info along with all of the other accompanying info. Well there are four reasons why we though on the website would be better. a) The wiki is less set so doesn't give the same feeling (ie. anyone can add or remove things), we really want to make it similar to the BoD page where people who are very active get more of a standout thank you. We agreed that this in general is a good thing, sometimes a pat on the back and some acknowledgement goes a long way for projects where we're not paid and often times not even thanked by those we help ;) b) The page won't be updated much. This will be for people who we have found to be particularly helpful, have contributed or are expected to contribute a lot, have shown dedication, and are likely to be involved going into the future. We do have the QA team wiki page but this we update very frequently, if someone hops in the chat and shows a little initiative we encourage them to add their name c) The website might give a clearer picture to users as to who is the core team thus they can expect feedback from, vs. the wiki currently has a mix of people who are kind of involved vs. people are who very involved. d) On a webpage it's much easer for us to write a professional blurb about ourselves that isn't about LibreOffice at all. To build community it's good to say what we do outside of the project Otherwise, IMO, you would now be working on two QA sites at the same time. I am not sure if the QA team membership would need updating often, but the wiki would probably be the better route to take. We could just have a link on the QA get involved page that says meet the core team or some such thing. I don't see why this couldn't be a model for other branches of LibreOffice as well.
