[fedora-websites] Issue #1123: Change default branch to main
jflory7 reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-websites` that you are following: `` # Summary Change default Pagure git branch from `master` to `main` and recreate `master` as a branch alias # Background Fedora Linux 34 [switched default git branches to `main`](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/GitRepos-master-to-main) as a Self-Contained Change. Many repositories use `main` as the default branch. In addition to being courteous, kind, and respectful, there are a few places that mention this branch to use `main` already, so we should take some form of action with the [Pagure git branch aliases](https://docs.pagure.org/pagure/changelog.html#id5). # Details 1. Create a new main branch checked out from master 1. Change Pagure default branch to main 1. Delete master branch 1. Recreate master branch as a Pagure branch alias to main The only risk to this change is what the impact will be to all opened Pull Requests. In `#websites:fedora.im`, we were thinking to work through the backlog of Pull Requests first in order to make this change safely. # Outcome * Syncs up with other distro-wide efforts to change default branches * Use git branch aliases to allow both `master` and `main` to serve the same content `` To reply, visit the link below or just reply to this email https://pagure.io/fedora-websites/issue/1123 ___ websites mailing list -- websites@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to websites-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/websites@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure

jflory7 added a new comment to an issue you are following: `` > **@bcotton wrote…** > A review of the IRC and mailing list entries I put to make sure that's where > you want to direct people Hey Ben! One thing you can also mention for documentation is the Fedora i3 SIG documentation: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/i3/ But is good to also mention the upstream documentation, since that will likely be the most useful resource for most users. As for app listings and description, we will work on this. Is there a deadline for when you need this info from the SIG? `` To reply, visit the link below or just reply to this email https://pagure.io/fedora-websites/issue/1056 ___ websites mailing list -- websites@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to websites-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/websites@lists.fedoraproject.org

Re: [Marketing] Re: [Developer-portal] Re: Preparing a new release of Fedora Developer Portal - asking for feedback
Hi all, The Fedora Globalization (G11n) team would probably be the best points of contact for this. I'm not sure on the specifics, but I believe Zanata is the tool that would be needed. I am including the G11n list on this reply. More info at the following links: * Wiki page: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/G11N * IRC: #fedora-g11n * Mailing list: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/g11n.lists.fedoraproject.org/ * Zanata: http://fedora.zanata.org/ Hope this helps. -- Cheers, Justin W.
