I think it's important to make the code of conduct highly visible to all of
current contributors, potential contributors, and to users. It should be seen
early, rather than as part of joining, because that helps set the tone.

I believe we should put this on the getfedora.org website. I do not believe
this should be blocked by it's absence on other sites (and we should open
tickets for them). I do not believe this should be blocked waiting on a
unified footer. I'll open a ticket for the commblog now.

I agree with @mailga here:

* getfedora is a brochure website targeting end-users. Is there any reason why
to mention a CoC in this website? We point users who want to start to
contribute, to the CoC once they go to the Join page.
* If you think it is mandatory, then we should unify all footers and not just
getfedora; the PR we have for this in fact has only a fix for getfedora, not
for other websites.
* The CoC is for contributors. Also is CommBlog for contributors. Before having
a link on getfedora, why don't we have a link to the CoC on CommBlog, where we
target contributors?

[fedora-websites] Issue #775: Add link to Code of Conduct on getfedora.org footer

2018-03-08 Thread Gabriele Trombini

mailga added a new comment to an issue you are following:
``
Hello Matthew,

If you're talking about the Fedora Code of Conduct, I think, since the
getfedora.org is addressed to non-contributors, it's not mandatory mention it
in the public site.

If you're referring to a CoC about the general use of Fedora resources , if
existing, it seems appropriate to me.
