Re: [Marketing] Re: [Developer-portal] Re: Preparing a new release of Fedora Developer Portal - asking for feedback

2016-04-30 Thread Justin W. Flory
Hi all,

The Fedora Globalization (G11n) team would probably be the best points
of contact for this. I'm not sure on the specifics, but I believe Zanata
is the tool that would be needed.

I am including the G11n list on this reply. More info at the following
links:

* Wiki page: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/G11N
* IRC: #fedora-g11n
* Mailing list:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/g11n.lists.fedoraproject.org/
* Zanata: http://fedora.zanata.org/

Hope this helps.

 Hi Robert,

 I guess, developer portal should be only in English.
 Many developer documentation are in English, like Python, Perl, Ruby.

2016-04-30 Thread Zoltan Hoppar
I think this developer portal will be key for us, and there is a place
for a developer hub for projects aka earlier fedora hosted. IMHO
Fedora Hosted .next should be something like a kickstart portal, just
for softwares. If we are able to our community run software startups,
host them, and even besides the description would be cool to openly,
visibly look for specified coders, designers and so on.

No this is an Infra task, not G11n. The developer portal actually is on a
cloud instance, and it needs to bet set up to pull files from Zanata and
build the pages for all languages.
We need to create the project and to create the source file, do the markup
and push it out to Zanata. Then L10n teams can translate it in all
languages.

@Petr: could you file an Infra ticket for this? Also, you will probably
need a ULS somewhere, you can take also the websites one if you like.
