Issue #276

?

*me*
Is there someway with an extra tag so the weeWX can return 1 if it is
daylight or 0 if it is night using current time, sunrise and sunset?

$current.isDaylight -> True or False.

*Tom Keffer*
No, there isn't, but it's a good idea.

I've opened Issue #276

We need, and you need also, to see the log from start-up until first
archive record - just looking at the last few lines tells us nothing -
there are no weewx messages in the log portion you posted.

2017-11-22 Thread mwall
it is hard to say without seeing the weewx log, but most likely you just
need to wait. fine offset stations come from the factory with an archive
interval of 30 minutes.

you will probably want to change that to 5 minutes, and set
record_generation=software

please read the [FineOffsetUSB] section of the weewx user guide

Did you wait until the first archive interval had been completed before
trying to look at the pages in your browser?? There will be nothing there
until after the first archive interval - which depends on your .conf file
and/or the station.

Keep checking the log and after the first archive interval check the
web pages

[weewx-user] http://localhost/weewx -> Object not found! Error 404

2017-11-22 Thread Mielmari

Greetings to all

I have on my PC Mint 18 and Xampp (Apache + MariaDB + PHP 7.0.24 + PERL)

I bought a weather station (PCE-FWS20) and I thought to use weewx. I
installed the .deb, and it seems that the daemon works

sudo /etc/init.d/weewx start
[ ok ] Starting weewx (via systemctl): weewx.service.

I can see the log when I plug in the usb from the base of the station:
Nov 22 07:21:02 elena kernel: [ 4410.816025] usb 5-1: new low-speed USB
device number 2 using uhci_hcd
Nov 22 07:21:02 elena kernel: [ 4411.004070] usb 5-1: New USB device found,
idVendor=1941, idProduct=8021

strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0
Nov 22 07:21:02 elena kernel: [ 4411.047270] hid-generic
0003:1941:8021.0004: hiddev0,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [HID 1941:8021]
on usb-:00:1d.3-1/input0
Nov 22 07:21:02 elena mtp-probe: checking bus 5, device 2:
"/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1d.3/usb5/5-1"
Nov 22 07:21:02 elena mtp-probe: bus: 5, device: 2 was not an MTP device

But when I click on the browser
http://localhost/weewx
the answer is
Object not found!Error 404

I appreciate any help

Find it in the usual places , as well as the
Debian repository.

Nothing major in this release. Just a few minor new capabilities, plus bug

it's only been a few hours since 3.8.0 was saved to the downloads page, and
it's not even announced yet.

[weewx-user] Where do the >>>>>>> come from in my table

2017-11-22 Thread Asherah
Hi,

in the week template I do have the following code:

 Daten der
Tage

TagHöchsttemp.Tiefsttemp>Niederschlag

#for $day in $week.days

$day.start.format("%A")$day.outTemp.max$day.outTemp.min>$day.rain.sum

#end for

Works fine with the exception that between the header "Daten der Tage" and
the title line of the Table "Tag ..." the following is inserted

on the webpage generated.

Page: http://wetter.giessler.de/week.html

Unfortunately I do not have a clue what I need to change to get rid of the "
"

Thank you for your help!

[weewx-user] Re: Limiting weewx logging only to error/fail

2017-11-22 Thread Daniel Jönsson
Thank you for quick reply.

This was exactly how I understood it to be when I read up on the commit on
github, and this is what I have been trying to do. But it does not effect
the logging.
I am running version 3.6.1, and if I understand it correct this was
implemented in 3.6.0, so it should work but isn't.

I have tried to put it under [StdReport] and all reports their under, and
under [StdRESTful]. No matter where I put it, it does absolutely nothing to
lessen the output to syslog.
