2019-05-10 Thread Andrew Milner
I have had this before with Fine Offset pressure sensors. What I did was
use the nearest airfield or known pressure value and calibrate the sensore
using weewx.conf to adjust the pressure value
eg
pressure = pressure + 0.8 to increase the reading by 0.8 inHg

Alternatively, if you believe the pressure value is correct, adjust the
limits in weewx.conf

Your problem is definitely being caused by the pressure values supplied by
the station are outside the limits specified in weewx.conf so you need to
either change the pressure value or the limit (or maybe even both).

the values for barometer and altimeter will be calculated by weewx, so
should be specified as 'software preferred' in weewx.conf

I don't think so. I had only tried getting a new api key before which has
nothing to do with contributing.

Yes, a wrong password causes an authentication error in weewx log.

I'll try changing api-key but I think that is only for reading a
 forecast, not contributing.

[StdQC]

[[MinMax]]

barometer = 26, 32.5, inHg

pressure = 24, 34.5, inHg

[StdConvert]

...

# DO NOT MODIFY THIS VALUE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

target_unit = METRIC# Options are 'US', 'METRICWX', or 'METRIC
target_unit a 'US', y lo inicies nuevamente.

cat /car/log/syslog | grep "LOOP value 'pressure'"

Jardi.

all that is related to the pressure is at "None" Barometer, Altimeter and
Pressure; why put the values in Metric, Weewx knows how to do the
conversion. The display gives a value in Hpa.

Re: [weewx-user] Re: how do I change my password at wunderground?

2019-05-10 Thread Andrew Milner
the change must come into force when changing the password - as I am still
using old login and password. Did you have to generate a new key or did
you just use the original key as a password in weewx.conf?

Are you sure a password is required? I know one is specified in
 weewx.conf
but is it actually used?? If one is required I would suspect it would
however be the password as it was at the time the key was generated
(suspicion says the apikey could well be a hash derived from station id
 and
password). Further thought makes me think that maybe you have to generate
a new apikey after changing the password in the members/station section.
Tom must generate the api key since it is not specified in weewx.conf -
just station id and password it would appear.

WEEWX now needs to change the conf file to ask for "key" instead of
"password".

[weewx-user] Re: rain-plot hourly

2019-05-10 Thread gjr80
The WeeWX image generator uses data from the archive not the daily summaries so
unfortunately rebuilding the daily summaries will have no effect on the plots.
WeeWX plots that use an aggregate interval are only regenerated every aggregate
interval, so for an hourly rain plot this will be every hour. You can either
wait an hour and the plot will be regenerated using the 'fixed' data or you can
force regeneration on the next report cycle by deleting the offending plot from
the WeeWX machine.

[weewx-user] rain-plot hourly

2019-05-10 Thread Joachim Puttkammer
Hi,
I'm using the current weewx version with a Mysql DB. Due to an error,
non-existent rainfall was recorded (meteostick). Therefore I set the values
in the database ( table archive, archive_day_rain and archive_day_rainRate,
the columns rain, rainRate, sum, count and wsum) to 0 and deleted also the
dayrain plot. The current condition values are now 0 but the plot hasn't
changed. What to do for a correct plot?

best regards
Joachim
