[weewx-user] Re: Import data from cumulus , decimal error

2019-11-13 Thread Inod
Hi ,

you alright

my setup was wrong in weew.conf
group_rain = cm# Options are 'inch', 'cm', or 'mm'
group_rainrate = cm_per_hour# Options are 'inch_per_hour',
'cm_per_hour', or 'mm_per_hour'

i have replaced by mm , and now my reports are good .
Thank a lot for your help and your work

Remy,

[weewx-user] Re: Import data from cumulus , decimal error

2019-11-13 Thread gjr80
Hi,

Thanks for posting the config file and source data you are using, that
helps. They both look fine. I just now used wee_import to import your data
using your import config file. The import was without error and the correct
figures appeared in the NOAA report. One thing you didn't provide was the
header portion of the NOAA format report, this includes details on what
units are being used in the report (it's possible the report is using cm
for rain in which case the report provided is correct). If this is the
case, unless you have modified the skin config file or NOAA report
templates, the cm could be being picked up from the [StdReports]
[[Defaults]] stanza in weewx.conf. To help diagnose could you provide the
following:

1. what version of WeeWX are you using
2. which skin (Standard or Seasons ?) is producing the NOAA format reports
3. copy of the entire WeeWX generated NOAA format October 2019 report
including header
4. copy of [StdReport] stanza from weewx.conf (make sure you remove any
sensitive info such as user names, passwords etc that may appear in the
[[FTP]] or [[RSYNC]] stanzas (or elsewhere)

[weewx-user] Re: Belchertown skin 1.0 released!

2019-11-13 Thread Radek Dohnal
Hi.
I added a list with rain graphs - rain by month and by year. Thats work
perfect! Is there any way how to add similar graph but with days? It will
be graph that show this month and plot total rain by day.

Thank you very much! Clearing the logger fixed it and it's working now. I
really appreciate your help.

I think you will find that the default unit is set at cm and should be
changed to mm

Re: [weewx-user] No data to Weewx from VantageVue, but data to weather display

2019-11-13 Thread Thomas Keffer
Well, you didn't post much, but it's enough to make a guess. It's possible
the memory in your logger is corrupted. The Vantage is showing 68 pages
available, but is unable to retrieve any of them. See the section WeeWX
generates HTML pages, but it does not update them
 in
the User's Guide for how to fix.

If that doesn't help, then next time capture the start up sequence for
WeeWX. See the Wiki article for details.

Agree - if you set up the mqtt/websockets you 'do' get effectively realtime
updates, or as realtime as your station emits data.

FWIW, it didn't work for my Internet site because I rsync a LAN-only
public_html outbound, but it did work very well LAN-only with
websockets/mqtt turned on.

Part of the fun is trying it. It's pretty slick.

And, my impression is that a lot of the point of how the skin works is
to deliver a static page every archive interval with websocket/mqtt
updates in between. So the user can see fresh data without constant
generation. I would encourge you to set it up with 5 minute archive
interval* and mqtt/websockets and then see what you think.

*In my view, an archive interval for Davis faster than 5 minutes is not
 a good idea.

Hello, Martin

Not exactly sure what's going on here. Could you please replace your copy
of accum.py with the attached? It has been instrumented to give more
information about the error.

You can find it at /usr/share/weewx/weewx/accum.py.

[weewx-user] Re: Vantage Pro2 - Archive Interval or weewx loop or what to change update rate to 2,5 seconds?

I have Vantage Pro2 connected to the RPi 3+ via an SDR and I'm using
the Belchertown skin v1.0.1 with MQTT enabled. The CPU averages 12% between
archives and 34% during archives.

[weewx-user] OutOfSpan: Attempt to merge an accumulator whose timespan is not a subset

2019-11-13 Thread Martin Nielsen
Hi

My weewx shuts down shortly after every midnight. It began immediately
after DST changed a few weeks back. But this could just be a coincidence.

I have monit running to kick if back to action but it is annoying me - and
i have been unable to figure out what is going on..

I am running davis vantage pro2 iss with a metostick driver on raspberry pi.

Weewx is installed from a deb repository.

Belchertown is kind of an expensive skin to run compute-wise, you probably
don't want to try to make it realtime or close to realtime. Take a look
at your logs and see home many tens-of-seconds it takes to generate
everything when the archive period rolls around on your particular system.

Re: [weewx-user] Vantage Pro2 - Archive Interval or weewx loop or what to change update rate to 2,5 seconds?

2019-11-13 Thread Thomas Keffer
I think you are confusing two different update rates: the update rate of
LOOP packets (fixed at 2.5s for Davis instruments), and the generation of
archive records (can be set from every 1 minute, to every 120 minutes).

See the section *LOOP packets vs archive records
*
in
the Customizing Guide.

[weewx-user] Vantage Pro2 - Archive Interval or weewx loop or what to change update rate to 2,5 seconds?

2019-11-13 Thread Udo Nixda
Hi,

using Belchertown skin v1.0.1 with MQTT with my Vantage Pro2. Realtime
would be wonderful, but I can't find the settings to change the current
update rate from 60 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

wee_device only allows entries in minutes on Vantage Pro2 and I don't find
any alternative in weewx ...

br,
Udo

Considering the approach of archive and plot, how to move towards a Sun
path "sine" plot?

WeeWX with 'pyephem' provides Sunrise, transit, sunset: $almanac.sun.rise
$almanac.sun.transit $almanac.sun.set , which is indeed good info and a
start... but may not be sufficient for a continuous plot/graph.

WeeWX and pyephem are powerful tools, and I believe the capability is
there, but need feedback and possible recipe.
