[weewx-user] Import weather data generated as Json

2020-04-19 Thread Matt Pitts
Hi There,

I have a basic weather station which publishes its data using Rest in a
JSON format.
http://www.switchdoc.com/2016/06/ourweather-rest-interface-interface-raspberry-pi/

Does anyone know if it's possible and relatively straight forward to get
this data flowing into WeeWX?

I'd really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Matt

[weewx-user] Re: Force weewx to generate old monthly reports?

2020-04-19 Thread Meteo Oberwallis

I have found a mistake. I hadn't run the chain "wee_database --drop-daily" and
"wee_database --rebuild-daily", and delete the data in the folder and
subsequently "wee_reports".
Delete the files in /var/www/html/weewx/folder Belchertown/NOAA/ and
/var/www/html/weewx/NOAA/
That Works

Thx for Helping!

are there also new files for the other years / months, or are they missing

 I ran "wee_database --drop-daily" and "wee_database --rebuild-daily",
followed by "wee_reports" in an attempt to generate everything.

At this point, the daily, weekly reports are fine. The monthly report
for May is fine. The yearly report for 2018 is fine.

 I am missing:
All months other than May 2018
 The year 2017.

I know that I have data in my database for these, but it seems like I
need to force these reports to be generated. How can I go about this?

if you just want to publish the data using MQTT, then you do not need to
add fields to the database. just configure the weewx-mqtt extension so
that it sends LOOP packets.

see the 'binding' option in the weewx-mqtt instructions:

https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/mqtt

notice that you can bind to loop, archive, or both. default is archive,
which is why you do not see data that do not have corresponding fields in
the database.

Thx for the Answer. I've tried it a few times now. However, this does not

if you delete the NOAA reports in /home/weewx/public_html/NOAA(or
/var/www/html/NOAA) they will be regenerated on the next report cycle.

[weewx-user] Peet Bros Ultimeter 2100 - Humidity Pad

2020-04-19 Thread Burt Wizeman
Thanks for all the info in this group! It has helped me with my weekend
spent trying to debug some of the issues I ran into. One of those issues
was that no barometer was showing up at CWOP. I have now learned that is
due to the calc needing the humidity which I lack. I notice that Weather
Display software in Windows provides CWOP with barometer so I assume that
is pulling humidity from some source. Is there a way to add a pad to the
Ultimeter driver so it could be configured to grab humidity from another
source so that the altimeter calc could be accomplished? Any ideas?
Trying to save the 110.00 for the meter.

I deleted the file NOAA-2019-05.txt, NOAA-2019.txt and it worked perfectly. For
me is now the 01.05.2015 that I imported. The fact that there is nothing inside

Hallo Günther,

Good to hear you have imported your data and WeeWX is running without error.
You need WeeWX to recreate all of your NOAA format reports, to do this just
delete the reports on your WeeWX machine and they will be recreated (including
your earlier ones) on the next report cycle.

Re: [weewx-user] Retrieving all archive records for the past 24 hours

If you put the template in the [[ToDate]] section it should do what you
want. NB: $day is *since midnight*. If you want the last 24 hours, you
probably want $span($day_delta=1).records.
