More info: updated to commit 34ce4e0 and problem returned (corrected with
chmod after install). Devuan installed WITHOUT systemd support, I'm using
sysvinit.

Re: [weewx-user] HTML Production Stopped After Update

2021-12-18 Thread vince
My jan-2009 wireless VP2 is also at 1.80 - is there any reason to update to
current ?

The 'wired' firmware release notes
at
https://support.davisinstruments.com/article/qu2edou0f5-vantage-pro-2-cabled-console-firmware-direct-pc-install-3-80-windows

don't mention anything that looks worth it to me, but I figured I'd ask

(the wireless firmware link
is
https://support.davisinstruments.com/article/qj3zfwto7y-vantage-pro-2-wireless-console-firmware-direct-pc-install-3-80-windows

but it doesn't have as much release notes type info on it)

I might add - requires Windows to update. Grr..

Any idea why that might have been the problem?

OK, we've found our culprit. The "LPS" command was introduced by Davis in
2012 with firmware revision 1.90.

[weewx-user] Belchertown skin render issues with Android 10

2021-12-18 Thread Scott Grayban
Has anyone got the same issue as I? On a Android 9 tablet the website is
perfect but on a Android 10 tablet the website looks like its trying to
show the website like its in vertical mode and the radar map is down low
and you have to scroll the web page just to see it. On my Android 9 tablet
its noting like that. I even went as far as resetting that android 10
tablet but it didn't fix this issue.

I'm not used to reviewing output from wee_device but given what I came up
with I'm guessing this is indicating a problem, as you say:

Any particular reason why you are using loop_request = 3? Could you try
 setting it to 1?

 [Vantage]
   ...
   loop_request = 1

Re: [weewx-user] logrotate permissions problem

2021-12-18 Thread mbat...@gmail.com
I upgraded weewx from 4.5.1 to 4.6.0b7 (I use the setup.py method, not the
debian package).
