Re: [weewx-user] Fineoffset WH3080 failure???
Greg, Your web page is so good. I am so envious. I'm trying to achieve what you have already. I have issues beginning with not having a pressure reading, which leads to missing reports. Have you documented your installation? May I have a copy of your weewx.conf, so I can compare it to see what you're doing, and copy the bits I like? richardh9935 at gmail dot com Canberra 0422702846 On Tuesday, 11 August 2020 at 09:13:05 UTC+10 Greg from Oz wrote: > Mine drops off every now and then. Re: [weewx-user] Fineoffset WH3080 failure???
Mine drops off every now and then. I know it is getting low on batteries as the signal quality drops off intermittently. I replace batteries , which reminds me I will put rechargeable in as I don't have any, and then I turn the console off by pulling the batteries and then it connects after a while. Other than that it has worked fine for over 8 years. https://weather.ubeaut.work/ On Tuesday, 11 August 2020 02:50:11 UTC+10, Nick Norman wrote: > > On 10/08/2020 12:28, Nick Norman wrote: > > Afternoon all, > > > > Setup: > > > > > > Braved the loft and ... no data from the outside unit, but screen showed > inside data - however the weewx driver could not see anything, > > Went on the roof (bungalow but still ...) all looked OK, checked the > batteries, find 'alkaline' rechargeable - never heard of. [weewx-user] Fineoffset WH3080 failure???
Afternoon all, Setup: Weewx 4.1.1 OS Centos 7 - updated (except kernel for $REASONS) Kernel 4.4.108-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 i5 processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz Memory 8G Weather console connected via D0Link DUB-H7 Located in the loft - hence warm-ish (currently 37c) Been working 100% - allowing for the occasional lock-up due to the usb getting tangled - cured by the powercycle script. Today at about 10:35 it has stopped working. The powercycle script fires off as it should but the result is still a failure to connect (well the system says it's not there). I have manually disconnected the hub and the station and re-connected and still the error persists. sections from the log file: powercycling: USB port Aug 10 12:10:59 bragi kernel: usb 1-1.2.4: USB disconnect, device number 57 Aug 10 12:10:59 bragi kernel: usb 1-1.2.4: new low-speed USB device number 58 using ehci-pci Aug 10 12:10:59 bragi kernel: usb 1-1.2.4: New USB device found, idVendor=1941, idProduct=8021 Aug 10 12:10:59 bragi kernel: usb 1-1.2.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0 Aug 10 12:10:59 bragi kernel: hid-generic 0003:1941:8021.0033: hiddev0,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [HID 1941:8021] on usb-:00:1a.0-1.2.4/input0 Aug 10 12:11:29 bragi journal: weewx[10672]/ERROR weewx.drivers.fousb: get_observations failed: [Errno 19] No such device (it may have been disconnected lsusb reckons it is there Bus 001 Device 059: ID 1941:8021 Dream Link WH1080 Weather Station / USB Missile Launcher Here is the full log since a start with debug=1 Aug 10 12:21:46 bragi journal: weewx[11432] INFO __main__: PID file is /var/run/weewx.pid Aug 10 12:21:46 bragi journal: weewx[11443] INFO __main__: Using configuration file /etc/weewx/weewx.conf Aug 10 12:21:46 bragi systemd: Started SYSV: start and stop the weewx weather system.
