I'm in the process of upgrading from Centos 6 to Centos 7 with an add-on dual port PCI card.

Centos 7 recognizes and creates all the appropriate devices.  If I connect to ttyS0 which is on the motherboard, all works as advertised, however if I connect to either ttyS1 or ttyS2 which are on the add-on PCI serial card nothing happens.

Over the years I've suffered several near miss lightening strikes which have taken out the serial card which is preferable to taking out the mother board.

If I can't resolve this issue I'll have to look at alternatives, and one thing that comes to mind is to use a serial to USB converter. Question is does anyone have a recommendation as to which ones work?

As a last resort I suppose I could get a USB data logger, but I'd rather not have to buy a new logger if I can possibly avoid it.

Thanks
Pete
