[weewx-user] Weewx 3.8.0 Using Vantage Vue, what model_type parameter?
Hi, Short answer is that model_type is only used to distinguish a Vantage Pro from a Vantage Pro2 (there is no way to determine this by interrogating the station). For a Vue the parameter has no effect, as you have found it is automatically set to 2 for a Vue (in fact you could set is to 99 and it will be reverted to 2 by the vantage driver). At the moment I think model_type is only used in determining how rxCheckPercent is calculated - the Vantage Pro uses a different formula to the Vantage Pro2 and the Vue. There probably should be something in the User's Guide to that effect. I'll add it to the list :) Gary -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group. [weewx-user] Weewx 3.8.0 Using Vantage Vue, what model_type parameter?
Just updated to 3.8.0 all ok. Using Vantage Vue station, in the .conf file the new parameter under Vantage section, model_type defaults to 2, being Vantage Pro2 System is working but no mention of what value I should use for the Vantage Vue station type. Any advice, what does this model_type parameter do in this new release? Regards Phil -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
