Haven't had much time to look through the source. I do agree with you

I have zero experience with C#, but I feel the current situation with
the Novell/MS deal is such that the ground is not so firm for relying
a project like this on C#.
I suggested python because almost all Red Hat tools (GUI/CLI) are made
with it and in various occasions where I had to poke into code written
by someone else it was quite straightforward to understand what was
going on.
If you can program in C, C++ and C# I am quite sure you will mostly
feel at home also with python.

I have
developed gtk apps in both C as well as C#. Perhaps using the gtkmm
bindings would be a nice middle ground. I've been coding mostly in C++
these days anyway...

Yes, I would consider that preferable over C#.

In any case, I'd look into things a bit more after the holidays. Best
wishes for the new year.

Best wishes to you and have nice holidays

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that. I'll have a look at the repository. I'd definitely like

Just a random thought about this: if looking at repository you will
discover that the code base has to be mostly rewritten (not unlikely,
given that all efforts focused on the Qt interface), I'd like to
suggest an higher level language for the implementation, my personal
choice being python.

I wish everybody an Happy Christmas and a successful new year

There's some code in svn:
http://dev.openwengo.com/trac/openwengo/trac.cgi/browser/wengophone-ng/trunk/wengophone/src/presentation/gtk

To my knowledge, it's incomplete and inactive. The last patch was 9
months ago.

Would you like to have a go at getting it working better?

Cheers,
Dave.
