I am going to propose "Descend into Darkness", my personal favorite
campaign. It's rather finished (but not yet perfect enough to be boring
to maintain) and has an interesting story and gameplay. Possible
problems are that it is not converted to 1.3 yet and its art needs
improvement. Also its author seems to consider his work as finished and
does no longer actively maintain it. You can see the forum thread
http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13776 for more details.
Just though this campaign is worth to be mentioned.

[Wesnoth-dev] The State of Multiplayer Registration

2008-06-13 Thread Thomas Baumhauer
About two months ago I had to stop working on my multiplayer registration
branch due to school. Today, when I wanted to start working on it again,
especially since, as far as I know, nobody is going to work within this
field during the Google Summer of Code, I saw that apparently basic code
for, as I understand it, linking multiplayer to forum accounts had been
written.

Well, I am quite out of touch with Wesnoth development so I would like to
know who, if anybody, is working on multiplayer registration or if there
were any decisions in which direction development in this area should go.

Thomas Baumhauer aka Baufo

Re: [Wesnoth-dev] Odp: The State of Multiplayer Registration

2008-06-15 Thread Thomas Baumhauer
I actually think that linking the multiplayer server to the forums is a good
idea and very extentable idea (e.g. we could use the forum friendslist for
multiplayer). I would like to continue with this approach.

Thomas

[Wesnoth-dev] Request to Martin Renold and everyone else who has not logged into his/her forum account since the big forum crash

2008-10-08 Thread Thomas Baumhauer
We are experiencing some issues with the forum database that we are unable
to explain, concretely some user+password hashes not looking like they
should. Since all users affected by this did not log in since the big forum
crash this summer we would be interested in whether these users actually can
log in. So if you registered before the forum crash and did not log in after
it, please go to forum forum.wesnoth.org and let me know whether you could
log into your account.

Thanks in advance for your help,

What about you unsubscribe than?
Just click the link that is attached to every single message on this ml (
https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-dev), scroll down, enter your email
address and click "Unsubscribe or edit options".
Now that was difficult.

Oh, as a general tip: don't blame other people for your incompetence.

I'd really like to have Descent into Darkness in the pack of the next
release. I think it's quite ready now. Do I have the permission to
commit it?

I have access to a Win98 machine and can test compatibility with this
particular OS (I remember a 1.2 beta running on it so I think there is a
good chance it is going to work).
