Kefa,

I agree with the suggestion that a meeting should once be taken to the
region. That should now follow some of these proposed developments.

Thank you.

Dear Robert,
This is quite reassuring and very mature. It’s true, sometimes we are
overwhelmed by weight at our different places of work; so much so that we may
not even get opportunity to handle other assignments. That aside, we hope a
full response from the executive over their perceived silence on issues of the
Foundation will be posted soon. Meanwhile, I had this suggestion to make: Some
meetings to address pertinent issues of the Foundation could be brought home (I
mean anywhere in West Nile) in order to increase participation by other key
players whose goodwill we might need off-line.

Hi Mickson,

I am sure Patrick has passed a reminder to the Interim Executive and good
people, we will get a response.

I appreciate the concerns and I must admit that personally it has been very
difficult on my part because of my schedules and location in the far away
village of Bushenyi. I am also aware that some members have equally been busy
but I think the opportunity for others to serve should come sooner than later.

Thank you.

Dear friends,

I expected auto screening of mails by the web hoster to avoid such
scenarios, therefore those who are de-registering should instead
install https://www.boxbe.com in there mails boxes to stop particular
mails coming into their inboxes, the sender's mails to you will fail,
but you can see them hovering around out side until you accept, instead
of permanent deletion. It says there are no permanent enemies on
earth, if you keep that anger permanently it will spoil your heart.

There is a famous Chinese saying to mean that; Once information is sought and
it is to be given by the responsible person(s) and it is not given for reasons
not explained then the recipient is obliged to fill the gap with his/her own
thinking. Take these concern of members with interest and furnish answers and

Dear all,

I do not know Winfred except in this forum, but considering her latest
submissions, her request to be de-registerred seems to me a clear sign of
frustration, disappointment, disgust . . . .

Why is this executive so quiet??? Why?

If you have decided it is the end of the game, why don't you say it openly so
we can all call it a day? What's difficult about that? Why do you want people
to make guesses and, perhaps come up with conclusions that may be a distance
away from what's on the ground?

You might think this is a mad woman blabbering away . . . You have the right to
your opinion. The other side of the coin is I am expressing the same
disappointment, which, I bet many in this forum also have. Please, and please,
have the kindness to tell us it is over.

Much appreciated.

Re: [WestNileNet] WestNileNet Digest, Vol 58, Issue 22

2013-06-26 Thread Robert Ejiku
Francis and Moses,

I think you both have a good point and we have a long history of
disappointing arrangements in the past. I have been associated with so many
groups that it is not difficult to see fatique in them. Programs not
getting the required support in all ways and only a few people soldier on
to make ends meet albeit with minimum impact. Perhaps any future changes
will target those who are ready to soldier on.

We are too people of events. Once it is done, we wait for the next event.
That is when people can contribute in all ways but in between even
subscribing for membership is a distant possibility.

But if this discussion can go beyond being an event into action, then the
trend will show a change in the right direction.

I fully agree with Moses, there is a popular saying that when you live in a
class house don't throw stones at others.Any one who has been on ground
knows how much this executive have tried to have stuff done and definitely if
we all played our parts they would have achieved our goals.Electing a new
executive may not necessarily achieve what we wish for,so resist from that
proposition.

Please do not get me wrong

2013-06-26 Thread Moses Adroma
I think let's go slow with the executive. We need to hear from the executive
their side of the story. Labelling them "redundant" and "dysfunctional" amidst
some of the achievements they have made since the conception of the idea of WNF
in my view is not being appreciative. The organiser of the then famous
"Westnile night" quit following such reckless utterances. I hope we are all
aware that this is totally a voluntary work and we donot expect them to give
100% of their time to WNF disregarding the responsibilities for the survuval.
We can call fresh elections or replacement of the current leadership with
immediate effect but when the time comes to do so, those advocating for it may
not show up to avail themselves for the leadership roles.  Am not an executive
member but I repeat let's go slow with them.

2013-06-26 Thread Robert Ejiku
Hi Mickson,

I am sure Patrick has passed a reminder to the Interim Executive and good
people, we will get a response.

I appreciate the concerns and I must admit that personally it has been very
difficult on my part because of my schedules and location in the far away
village of Bushenyi. I am also aware that some members have equally been
busy but I think the opportunity for others to serve should come sooner
than later.

Thank you.
