A proposition

-

Once there was a millionaire who collected live alligators. He kept them
in the pool in the back of his mansion. The millionaire also had a
beautiful daughter who was single.

One day he decided to throw a huge party, during which he announced: "My
dear guests, I have a proposition to every man here. I will give

$1 million or my daughter to the man that can swim across this pool full of
alligators and emerge unharmed!"

As soon as he finished his last word there was the sound of a large splash!

There was one guy in the pool swimming with all his might, the crowd
cheered him on as he kept stroking. Finally, he made it to the other
side unharmed.

The millionaire was impressed and said, "My boy that was incredible!
Fantastic! I did not think it could be done! Well, I must keep my end of
the bargain. Which do you want, my daughter or the $1 million?"

The guy replied, "Listen, I don't want your money! And I don't want your
daughter! I want the person who pushed me into that water!"

Dear Charles

Thanks for sharing this information out. Indeed the leaders goin touch with me
and, though I will not be in position to join them (left today for my field
station), I sent them my small contribution through MM.

I join in appealing to colleagues to support the initiatives of these students
in our communities. In this era of promoting science education, they play a
very useful role in mobilising the younger generation to thing and focus more
in that direction. MAYTSA have had some good outreach programmes in the recent
past, and could share with us some briefs as a reminder.

Kind regards

Patrick

Dear Colleagues,

Makerere Arua-Yumbe Technology Students Association(MAYTSA) has requested me to
forward to all members  of the West Nile community and Well wishers their
request for  support towards organizing the launch of community action plan
which normally takes place during the hand over ceremony. This is an annual
event where the Association changes leadership and launches what  they plan to
do in the community during holiday period. I  particularly appeal to all the
engineers on this forum to rise to the occasion and establish contact with
these students who need inspiration and mentorship in their professional career.

The total budget is about 800,000 Uganda shillings only and if you wish to
support them, kindly get in touch with Mr. Agatre Patrick(0784188814).

For details, kindly refer to the attachment.

Looking forward to your usual support,

Kind Regards,

Charles

Dear Friends,

Death has robbed us of one of our prominent sons Mr. Rukudde Richard, working
with Bank of Uganda, Jinja. He died this morning (01/03/2010) in a motor
accident (head-on-collison) on his way to work.

Relatives and friends will gather at his residence this evening off Mawanda
road (near Kalerwe). Further arrangements will then be decided.

Remember them in your prayers and any support towards the bereaved is
appreciated.

Yours,

Worodria
