Re: [WestNileNet] WestNileNet Digest, Vol 32, Issue 59

2011-05-06 Thread Adiga Godi
Dear Alaka,
It would also help to have a comprehensive list of ALL ORGANIZATIONS RELEVANT
to West Nile activivities, WHEN THEIR FUNCTIONS take place and ANY FINANCIAL
ESTIMATES FOR THESE ACTIVITES for the year.
This information will then help all of us to budget so we can set aside certain
money for them. The organizations will then be able to remind us in advance for
the planned activity. These organizations should not be requesting help at the
spur of the moment  as if the money is readly accessable at any time. If you
can recall I suggested some time back that these organizations should have a
budget and request funds thru our organization to stream line the funding. we
should insist on this.
That is how I see it.
Thanks folks.
Adiga Godi.

Jackson I think we need to find out programs of all those students
from tertiary institutions hailing from West Nile to enable us avoid
duplicity in actions and streamline their operations for the common
good. We might also fund those programs we believe are relevant to our
theme of developing

Re: [WestNileNet] WestNileNet Digest, Vol 32, Issue 59

2011-04-30 Thread JohnAJackson
MAYTSA

Dear folks of Makerere,

In 2010, the former chairman laid a foundation for Career couching &
Tutoring during holidays. He had started an elaborate and modest budget for
this program, a list of schools they will visit, etc.

The most recent fund raising alert that was send out amonth ago did not
have any details at all. I would recommend and suggest that for fund
raising purpose, a budget should accompany the effort so that it is
appealing to donors who are willing to help.

If I recall, Tabu Lambert followed this guidance and was able to raise funds
for their term activities in 2010 effectively.

For the sake of financial accountability, people who are trying to raise
funds for worth while causes should post a budget as well so that well
wishers can justify donating their pennies.
