Bug? gettin file 2 GB fails

2005-07-07 Thread Jogchum Reitsma

Hello,

I'm not sure it's a bug, but behaviour descibes below seems strange to
me, so I thought it was wise to report it:

I'm trying to get a Suse 9.3 ISO from sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de,
a file that is 4383158 KB according to the FTP-listing. wget gets about
2.4 GB, than quits with a message

get: progress.c:830: create_image: Bewering `insz = dlsz' mislukt

The last part is in English something like Statement insz = dlsz failed.

If I give it a retry with the -c option, it begins dowloading again, but
after a few hundred KB it quits again, now with the message

get: progress.c:830: create_image: Bewering `p - bp-buffer =
bp-width' mislukt.

This I can repeat, wget downloads a few hundred KB, leaves a message
like the above, and quits.

Am I doing something wrong, is something else going wrong, or is it a bug?

System is Suse 9.2, kernel 2.6.8-24.16-default, Reiserfs vs 3

Thanks in advance for an answer!

sincerely, Jogchum Reitsma
