This was an oversight. Fixed. The entire text shouldn't have been removed. Empty attributes still need a space after them if they are followed by another attribute. Sorry for being unclear. It should say: If an attribute using the empty attribute syntax is to be followed by another attribute then there must be a space character separating the two. Hi, If an attribute using the empty attribute syntax is to be followed by another attribute or by one of the optional U+002F SOLIDUS (/) characters allowed in step 6 of the start tag syntax above, then there must be a space character separating the two.
