https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15493 Nathanael mediaw...@polymorpheus.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||mediaw...@polymorpheus.com --- Comment #6 from Nathanael mediaw...@polymorpheus.com 2009-01-17 17:35:26 UTC --- The existing MSSQL support is not yet ready for prime time. I have attached a diff against SVN revision 45842 to improve this. I have also attached already patched versions of includes/db/DatabaseMssql.php and maintenance/mssql/tables.sql for easy reference. Testing on Windows Server 2003 with IIS6 and SQL Server 2005 the only fault I am explicitly aware of is the inability to create infinite duration blocks. Further testing will certainly reveal others. I am keen to get this into the tree as I believe it is at a reasonable point to allow others to begin to test, and against which future work can proceed incrementally. Summary of changes: * includes/db/DatabaseMssql.php : Correct various existing faults and reuse existing functionality within Database.php wherever possible. * maintenance/mssql/tables.sql : Data types adjusted and referential integrity elements added (modelled off the Postgres version). * includes/db/Database.php includes/Revision.php : Introduce EXPLICIT_ID option to support undelete operations where an identity field is set explicitly. MSSQL requires specific action in this case. * includes/specials/SpecialRecentchanges.php includes/specials/SpecialRecentchangeslinked.php : MSSQL objects to ORDER BY on the sub-queries (it remains present on the union results). The hardcoded LIMIT option is removed from the union results but remains on the sub-queries. This allows the LIMIT to be performed in an MSSQL compatible manner. * includes/specials/SpecialListfiles.php : MSSQL requires GROUP BY lists to include all non-aggregate fields. I believe Postgres will also require this. * includes/specials/SpecialAncientpages.php : Add support for MSSQL datetime to Unix time conversion. * includes/specials/SpecialNewimages.php : Rewrite the query logic to use the abstracted interfaces to allow the database abstraction mechanisms to work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 17052] New: Misleading diffs involving revisions deleted through RevisionDelete
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17052 Summary: Misleading diffs involving revisions deleted through RevisionDelete Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: Normal Component: Deleting AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: happy_me...@hotmail.co.uk Blocks: 15644 It is clearly not supposed to be possible to diff to a deleted revision that you can't view the content of, since the radio buttons on the history page are greyed out, as are the 'cur' / 'prev' links as applicable. However, it is still possible to get a diff in a number of ways. Firstly, if the second-most-recent revision of a page is concealed, the radio button marker is still positioned on it by default (although if you move it, you can't put it back). It should be a simple check on data that's already present to see if the second revision is deleted (the first can't be) and move the radio button default down one if so. Secondly, if you diff to the revision before a deleted one, the next diff link is still available, and takes you to the diff with the deleted revision. The problem with diffing to a deleted version is that the diff function silently returns a 'nothing changed' diff just like when you diff to a 'null' revision (eg a this page was moved/protected rev). In this case, that's disingenous: it should not be allowed to present a diff involving content the user can't see, and an explanation of the issue should be provided. It seems fairly pointless to allow the diff but not allow it to contain any useful information. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 17053] New: Hiding log entries with RevisionDelete does not automatically hide the corresponding page history entry
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17053 Summary: Hiding log entries with RevisionDelete does not automatically hide the corresponding page history entry Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: Deleting AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: happy_me...@hotmail.co.uk Blocks: 15644 When we perform actions that are logged in [[Special:Log]], a null revision is usually (not always, eg user rights changes) made in the history of the affected page with the same data as the log entry. These entries should obviously be considered interchangeable, so when a log entry is hidden, the corresponding null revision should have the same hiding settings applied to it, and vice versa. For pagemove results, hiding one entry should probably also affect the equivalent entries for the other page. Essentially, whenever multiple records are created together, they should be treated as one record for the purposes of RevisionDelete. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 17034] New logo for Wikibooks projects
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17034 Mike.lifeguard mikelifegu...@fastmail.fm changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #7 from Mike.lifeguard mikelifegu...@fastmail.fm 2009-01-17 18:18:03 UTC --- (In reply to comment #4) I've updated the English/default logo for wikibooks. Those languages which have a local override already set will need to update their local Wiki.png file appropriately if they haven't already. Sorry, you've set the default Wikibooks logo to the English one. The default fallback logo has the English slogan. Please change the default so Wikibooks projects which don't have their own local logo set have http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/49/Wikibooks-logo-en-noslogan.png as their logo - which has no slogan: 'wgLogo' = array( # Defaults 'default' = '/images/wiki-en.png', 'wikibooks' = 'http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/49/Wikibooks-logo-en-noslogan.png', ... The English and Simple English Wikibooks should have their logos with english text set: 'enwikibooks'= 'http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikibooks/en/b/bc/Wiki.png', 'simplewikibooks'= 'http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikibooks/en/b/bc/Wiki.png', Currently these are not defined, so they use the (incorrect) default. The current situation means that non-English wikis are seeing English text on their logos. It also means that when English Wikibooks updates their logo, it changes the logo on many wikis which don't have a localized version set - this should not be the case. Wiki.png on English Wikibooks is the logo for English Wikibooks (and simple) - not the fallback/default. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. Look at the HTML source of the page -- I've set a test case as the URL for this bug. On browsers that cause HTML alt= to render as a tooltip, the tooltip won't work when wikitext link= is set, because wikitext link= sets a tooltip on the wrapping a which overrides the tooltip on the image itself. However, alt= is supposed to be used for alt text, *not* tooltips. It doesn't even work for tooltips in non-IE browsers, as my link shows (see the last case, which doesn't have the custom Commons tooltip in Firefox). Therefore, this bug as stated is wrong: alt= on linked images is working as intended. However, the unnamed parameter (which is different from alt= and is really only kept for backwards compatibility because Brion insisted on it, I wanted to use it only for captions) is supposed to set both alt text and tooltip, and on linked images it doesn't. This is a bug, which has already been filed as bug 16912. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 16912 *** -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17059 Summary: OAIRepository extension should use wgDBprefix Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: any Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: Normal Component: OAI AssignedTo: br...@wikimedia.org ReportedBy: s...@lyricwiki.org Since the installation .sql scripts for the OAIRepository extension have /*$wgDBprefix*/ in them, the code in OAIRepo_body.php should use the table prefixes also. There are several places in the code where this would have to be changed, and that differs by version. Until this is fixed, wikis which use a non-empty-string value in wgDBprefix will not be able to run the IncrementalUpdater successfully. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 17060] New: Log summaries are rendered differently to admins when contents have been concealed by RevisionDelete
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17060 Summary: Log summaries are rendered differently to admins when contents have been concealed by RevisionDelete Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: Normal Component: Deleting AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: happy_me...@hotmail.co.uk Blocks: 15644 When an admin views the edit history of an article, the concealed revision componenents are still shown visibly, although struck out to highlight the concealment. When an admin views a log extract, the concealed components display in the same manner as they do for non-admins, grey and struck out, and the admin must click through to Special:RevisionDelete in order to see the contents of the log entry. This behavior should be consistent between the two types of entries. Personally I think the latter behavior is preferable: in the same fashion as Special:DeletedContributions, the content is still *accessible* to admins, but it is more clearly set apart from the 'normal' content.
