[Bug 18218] New: Feature request: Who submitted a specific bit of text?
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18218 Summary: Feature request: Who submitted a specific bit of text? Product: Wikimedia Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: General/Unknown AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: irreven...@hotmail.com BACKGROUND: Often users forget to sign their posts in talk pages, requiring someone to hunt down the post in the history log and attribute the comment. This is especially a pain when they've accidentally put the comment into the article rather than the discussion page, or other high turnover situations. PROPOSAL: It would be really useful to be able to somehow select a piece of text and click a button (or whatever) that tells you who wrote that text. It would be good if it provided a link to the appropriate history entry too. POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS: Sometimes even a single word has been edited by multiple users (usually for typos). In that case, it would have to give you a list of the users/changes and you could find the right one. COMMENTS: Not a high priority feature request by any means, but it would make the day-to-day administration of wikipedia (et al) easier. [Bug 15637] Hiding categories via CSS violates accessibility

Styleshees are for changing style. Here you are making _information_ depend on stylesheets. That is crossing the boundary and a clear violation of accessibility principles. The hidden categories should appear, or _disappear_, from the HTML, not via the sytlesheet! Sure, you could say most users don't need accessibility, but why throw it away for nothing? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
