He will no longer suffer the following scenario: Allow us to share the pain of a different example. Visit http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Installing_your_own_SquirrelMail at the bottom click on the juicy category which happens to be linked as so http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php?title=Category:SquirrelMailaction=edit Permission error You do not have permission to do that, for the following reason: Do what? All the user did was click on a link. That it was a boobytrapped action=edit link is not something the user should have to know The action you have requested is limited to users in the group user. What action? Clicking? the user wonders. Retrieved from http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Category:SquirrelMail; Which in fact is a much more polite link, despite bug 17630 And the worst of all, the categories don't even show at the bottom. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. Regardless, it's not a significant attack vector against admin accounts, because the home wiki, which has control of the global account, is decided mainly dependent on local userrights. So the admin account on iiwiki will ensure that iiwiki is the home-wiki for User:nnn's global account. So it will not be possible to unify the account on another project except by gaining *higher* permissions on that project. At which point, we have a malicious admin account on xxwiki *anyway*, making the issue rather moot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 18890] Enable editors to declare ref body text outside of main article prose. Also Enable editors to control footnote ordering.
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18890 --- Comment #19 from Bill Mitchell bill.mitch...@pobox.com 2009-05-31 12:05:29 UTC --- Re Comment#17 Yes, I used info from http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Cite to install the cite extension with the modified Cite_body.php onto the test wiki for this bug at http://siteslot.com/testwiki. After Comment#15, I tried regression testing the modified Cite extension as described in Comment#16 and ran into problems which I described in Comment#16. Specifically, the test suite complains, This test suite requires the 'ref' hook extension. The hook for the Ref tag is working OK, though, as seen on the Main page of the test wiki which uses it to handle Ref tags. Perhaps there is a problem in the test suite at testwiki/maintenance/extensions/citeParserTests.txt which I copied there from testwiki/extensions/Cite/citeParserTests.txt as described in Comment#16, or perhaps there is a problem somewhere else in the regression testing, or perhaps the complaint I'm seeing is normal (though it does not look normal). I'm at a loss. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 19031] New: Generating a comprehensive move history for an article
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19031 Summary: Generating a comprehensive move history for an article Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Special pages AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: benjamin.bea...@gmail.com Currently, viewing the move log for an article only lists entries where an article has been moved AWAY from that title. Is there a way to also list the instances where the article has been moved TO the title? Or, even better, a way to show ALL the previous titles that the article has had? Currently, the only way I know to compile a history of an article's title is to manually scan back through its history, and jotting down all the moves that I can see. However, this can take a long time for an article with a long history. A move log that traveled with the article would be helpful, or an option on the history page that would filter out all non-move edits and only show the move history of the article. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. There seems to be no problem there, since there is no Talk:Good cop that would serve as a base page for [[en:Talk:Good cop/bad cop]]. However, there IS a [[en:Talk:AC]], which means that [[en:Talk:AC/DC]], which should be a base page, is treated by the software as a subpage of [[en:Talk:AC]]. This means that if someone moves the article [[en:AC]], and ticks the option move all subpages of talk page, if applicable, then [[en:Talk:AC/DC]] and its subpages will end up separated from the [[en:AC/DC]] article. While I think [[en:AC]] and its talk page are unlikely to be moved, this could be a problem elsewhere. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18890 --- Comment #20 from Steve Sanbeg ssan...@web.de 2009-05-31 19:36:31 UTC --- What's happening is that since it's testing an extension, it first checks if that extension is installed; since it's not finding it, it doesn't run the tests. The question is, why the extension is found when running from the web, but not from the tests. It wouldn't be a problem with the .txt file; the ref hook definitely needs to be installed to run the tests, so that is correct. You may check that you only have one LocalSettings.php, and that the extension is installed correctly there. If you can't find the error there, you may need to trace through parserTests.inc to see why it doesn't find it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 13421] Safari 3.1 video element fails to play ogg without XiphQT components installed
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13421 --- Comment #4 from Gregory Maxwell gmaxw...@gmail.com 2009-06-01 05:16:09 UTC --- Just an update— Firefox 3.5 has the canplaytype support too. It works fine. OggHandler has Safari detection now, but the the nag section is stubbed out. This is an example instruction page: http://air.mozilla.com/open-video-for-safari/ I'm thinking of something like falling back to java (if available, it usually is on Mac) and displaying a small system message below or above the video playback that directs you to a site customizable recent-safari specific instruction page which can be initially populated with text like the above Mozilla page. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
