Overview: This error shows up at the top of the page of every page. Under all the div header content. Steps to Reproduce: From a fresh install of XAMPP 1.7.2 add the DynamicPageList (Version 1.8.8) extension. Additional Information: Running Windows XP SP3 Running XAMMP 1.7.2 for development. MediaWiki 1.16alpha PHP 5.3.0 (apache2handler) MySQL 5.1.37 I believe this is related to PHP 5.3. If I go back to a copy of XAMMP using PHP 5.9 the Language::getMagic() expected to be a reference error does not show up. I have performed a basic query with this error showing and nothing will show. [Bug 20297] New: toolbar does not load on Safari 2
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20297 Summary: toolbar does not load on Safari 2 Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: any Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: Normal Component: UsabilityInitiative AssignedTo: tpars...@wikimedia.org ReportedBy: hart...@videolan.org CC: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org On Safari 2, the new toolbar fails to load. It fails silently (no visible errors in the error console) and doesn't seem to make a single change to the page. Making it work, will likely be difficult, because Safari 2 is: not JS 1.6 compatible, not supported by jQuery, has terrible JS debugging options and it is hardly used anymore. However, perhaps there should be a hook in the toolbar code, for the cases where it bails, and let it try to load the old toolbar in those cases ? Yes, that would appear to be the case. $wgNamespaceRestrictions does not exist. (In reply to comment #3) Should be possible via $wgNamespaceRestrictions I think... (Assuming the above is true.) $wgNamespaceProtection is to prevent various user groups from editing a certain namespace, not from creating pages in it. This would not work, unless we could make some odd hack which I can't think of at the moment. For $wgGroupPermissions, currently the only two possible settings for creating pages are createpage and createtalk, no more specific. [Bug 18497] No skin used for Opera fullscreen (uses CSS 'projection' media type instead of 'screen')
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18497 Aryeh Gregor simetrical+wikib...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #7 from Aryeh Gregor simetrical+wikib...@gmail.com 2009-08-18 20:42:25 UTC --- I brought it up on www-style after getting no response from David Storey for a week or so: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2009Aug/0338.html It turns out that Opera does interpret screen stylesheets in full-screen mode, but *only* if there are no projection stylesheets. This is like their small-screen mode: they try to use media-specific stylesheets if provided, otherwise they try to intelligently adapt the screen stylesheets to the medium (which doesn't involve changing much of anything, for projection). Obviously they can't really tell if they're *actually* hooked up to a projector, and if they could, they wouldn't want to, since that would mess up testing your presentation at home and so on. So in other words, we can drop projection as long as we drop it *everywhere*. It fails silently (no visible errors in the error console) and doesn't seem to make a single change to the page. Making it work, will likely be difficult, because Safari 2 is: not JS 1.6 compatible, not supported by jQuery, has terrible JS debugging options and it is hardly used anymore. If possible at all, that's not worth our time. However, perhaps there should be a hook in the toolbar code, for the cases where it bails, and let it try to load the old toolbar in those cases ? [Bug 7757] allow cropping images when rendered
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7757 Brion Vibber br...@wikimedia.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||br...@wikimedia.org Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #8 from Brion Vibber br...@wikimedia.org 2009-08-19 02:07:58 UTC --- I'm not fond of this syntax or implementation; reverted in r Reverted: r54748 Making demon happy (adding public/protected to function definitions) and add some comments along the way. r54746 Update formatting for r54745 r54745 Added crop support for inline images. Several issues: * Implementation is ImageMagick-specific, no support for GD backend * Specification syntax is pretty ugly and non-obvious imo... [[File:foo.jpg|widthpx|leftxtopxwidthxheight]] * Crop syntax seems to be tied to pixels... I _presume_ source pixels? This would break if a file is re-uploaded with a new size. * In general I'm very leery of tacking on more infinite-options-in-infinite-combinations for image rendering; our treatment of resizing already has implications for CPU and disk usage and this just adds another level of arbitrary-rendered horror. ;) I'd much rather we move towards limiting the number of rendered variants we have, not increase them... IMO cropping would be better served with an interface allowing for explicit, visible cropping which creates either a new saved version, or a 'cloned' virtual file which can be referred to by name... and more importantly, uses of it would be trackable so that if crops needs to be updated they can be cleanly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
