I have [[n:wikinews:Sandbox]] on my watchlist. I edit it with the api, using
the following (POST) request:
action edit

The response i recieve is the normal response:

And the page is edited as it should be. However the page is suddenly no longer
on my watchlist.
Expected behavoir: Editing with the api should not affect whether the page is
on or off my watchlist.
Note: if it matters, I do not have it set in my preferences to automatically
add pages i edit to my watchlist, however the page was on my watchlist before
hand so it should stay on.

Enable $wgCrossSiteAJAXdomains for wikimedia sites. It would be useful to be
able to access the api across wikimedia domains through js gadgets.

If someone adds a category to an article, the article should only be added to the category if the revision is sighted. If none of the revisions of that page are sighted, categories should still work in the normal way. This is important for wikinews, since we use categories to determine which articles are 'published'. Removing the category publish causes the article to become de-published (a bad thing). Even worse, when the edit is reverted, it causes the article to become the most recently published article, as we use the cl_timestamp of category:publish to determine the publish date. This means a vandal can cause an old article to become the most recently published article, and there is nothing we can do to revert the damage. This causes a lot of head-aches. Cheers, bawolff p.s. Until yesterday IPs also counted as real people and had the right to proofread texts. With the update yesterday this function was switched of at German Wikisource despite a more than clear majority of users being against it. The reasoning behind it this "feature" that was forced on us is that proofreading has to be done by two different persons and it can't be controlled that a person just doesn't change the IP-address and then controls a second time. It seems that somebody has forgotten one of the fundamental principles of all the projects of Wikimedia: Assume good faith. German Wikisource is a very small project with an overviewable number of people working there. We trust each other to do the best for our project and not sabotage each other. We also accept that there are a few people in our project who want to stay anonymous and don't create accounts. It's there good right. Wikisource basically has two tasks: transcribing text (which is more and more done by OCR) and proofreading text. Therefor IPs are now actually more or less forbidden to participate at Wikisource. I never saw a consensus for discriminating IPs by not allowing them to work in a Wikimedia-project. I don't know if this is a bug with ogv or something else, but I can't upload
[[File:Lilik - Il copyright sulla cultura - video Noè.ogv]] (19.1 MB). I tried
removing the Unicode character but nothing: when the upload seems completed I
only get a
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&action=submit
blank page. I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3)
Gecko/20090910 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5.3, but the same happens on
Windows XP with Firefox, with or without the Firefogg extension. Same problem
on it.wikipedia (currently r56901), with or without the undesrscores instead of
the spaces, with or without the following information template which I add for
completeness.
Nothing on the error console.

I am running PHP 5.2.10 on IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003 but I believe it would
affect anyone. The following bug was found while working with Mediawiki
v1.15.1. If you attempt to run mediawiki's dumpBackup.php job, it generates
the following error:
"Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_USER_AGENT in
extensions\FCKeditor\fckeditor\fckeditor_php5.php on line 37"
The file in question attempts to access $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] without
checking to see if it is set. To work around this, I modified
fckeditor_php5.php to:

But after reload page all becomes fine and after 5-6 new pages it broken
article again.
