I think it needlessly complicates things for users. When a user hears the term skin they think it's the visual style they wish to see when accessing the website. They should not be thinking of what medium it's on. If we're producing skins designed for different platforms (ie: chick is for mobile, modern/monobook for desktop browsing), then we are going about skins in the wrong way. Ideally, we should design all skins so they degrade nicely to mobile and text browsers. It's possible to get this by requesting http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearchsearch=somethinggo=Go and getting the target of the resulting HTTP 302, but this'll return an HTTP 200 with search results when there is no title match for 'something' and this is hacky. It seems I was a bit too hasty in this request and didn't understand the new standardisation fully. It turns out that 'Kernewek' is still an accepted form of the language's name, and that 'Kernowek' is just a recognised dialectal variant. Could the name please be changed back to 'Kernewek', as this is the form in most use. Sorry to be a pain. When searching within the Safari browser on an iPhone/iPod Touch device, the search bar at the top lacks a quick erase of the previously-searched term. The addition of a quick-erase button to the left of the magnifier (search) icon would improve the mobile browsing experience of Wikipedia. For comparison, the Google mobile website does have the quick-erase feature in the form of an X button. Patch to Exif.php to fix this for GPS coordinates only (using fixed denominator
1000)
Ok, here it is. Also limits the fractional digits in coordinate output (it
makes no sense displaying fractional seconds with more than 3 fractional
digits).
Additionally, the Formatter now can format coordinates by e.g. suffixing the
direction, so that you can get 47° 15' 24.123 N. (Configurable through
messages exif-coordinate-format-{nesw}.)
