Delete/restore activity on old revisions??) AUTOINCREMENT columns aren't guaranteed to be allocated sequentially; values can be skipped. In particular, if a transaction inserts a row, then gets rolled back rather than committed, there will be a gap, since the id is assigned at insert time and not at commit time. Autoincrementing is visible immediately, even across transaction boundaries -- which would be a violation of transactional semantics if id's were guaranteed to be sequential, but they aren't. [Bug 20186] Allow filtering history and contributions lists for revision deletion
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20186 --- Comment #21 from Tim Starling tstarl...@wikimedia.org 2010-02-07 00:35:30 UTC --- Sorted lists of revisions, such as history and contributions, are always ordered by timestamp. This avoids misordering in cases such as undeletion and Special:Import. Yes, there may be misordering of rev_timestamp due to clock skew, but it will only be seconds, not years, so people will usually not notice it. And edits to the same paragraph are always correctly ordered using rev_timestamp since the edit conflict mechanism implicitly protects it. Yes, Title::getNextRevisionID() uses rev_id, this is an unfortunate performance hack and will lead to inaccurate results due to import and undelete. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are watching all bug changes. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 16624] Requesting hooks for start and end of the sections
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16624 Bawolff bawolff...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bawolff...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Bawolff bawolff...@gmail.com 2010-02-07 03:06:36 UTC --- You can sort of already do this in a limited way with the DoEditSectionLink hook (However any inserted html would be in the h2 and it wouldn't work for any pages with __NOSECTIONEDIT__ on, and determining which section number you're at might be difficult if some of the sections are transcluded), or the ParserBeforeStrip hook (To look for sections, and add an extension tag or something in the appropriate place). Neither of those hooks would be ideal though for what you are trying to do. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 7264] Magic word to give Page Title as if pipe-trick performed on it
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7264 Danny B. dann...@email.cz changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #6 from Danny B. dann...@email.cz 2010-02-07 03:26:52 UTC --- {{pipetrick:}} is definitely nice, however it should be accompanied by the complement set of variables to random {{..PAGENAME(E)}} variables (see [[mw:Help:Magic words#Page_names]]), so one wouldn't have to create ugly templates with content like {{TALKPAGENAME:{{NAMESPACE}}:{{pipetrick: {{{title|{{PAGENAME} (to get {{TALKPAGENAMEP}}), which are indeed much more expensive than single variable which returns the same. Alternative (maybe even better) may be adding of |P ({{TALKPAGENAME|P}} etc.). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
