I can see why you're suggesting this, though, personally it doesn't bother me,
and with some pages I use the interwiki links (granted, mainly in Wikipedia
pages)

Are you suggesting the user can specify a language preference list?

This is exactly, what I would like to suggest.

I am a Dane and the Danish Wikipedia isn't the biggest out there. But Danish,
Norwegian(Bokmål and Nynorsk) and Swedish is mutual understandable
(intelligible?) - especially the written word. I think that many articles only
exist in one of these languages for this reason. 

For example my list would look like:

English
Danish
Norwegian (Bokmål)
Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Swedish
German

I find this a little annoying every time to find these between the other 20,
when the English article doesn't exist. The 20 others are simply irrelevant to
my interests.

FYI, Translate extension has a preferences plugin that allows selecting list of
language codes either by manual input or from list. It could be a start, but
more useful when/if we have global preferences someday.

Outputs a timestamp if the page is protected ("infinity" if protection is

Confirming that per FT2 I am mistaken above and now have seen the light (or
more specifically the prompting that "As an administrator you can still view
this diff if you wish to proceed."

That being said, the fix to the problems FT2 highlights should be prioritized
and this should be rolled out ASAP.

The links to "view diff | change visibility" in the delete log are only shown
to those who can click through to view the diff (admins, oversighters).

There's a problem with hiding the diff links for non-admins, namely that in
many cases the non-admin _can_ see some of all of the relevant diff, or may
wish to know which diff it was even if they can't view the content. Non-linking
means the end user cannot do so.

For example:

This delete log

shows two revisions deleted. The user is not linked to them and cannot tell
which two revisions are meant. But in fact if they were linked to the revision
they could view some or all of it
.
The fields they can't view will be greyed or struck out, or (for content) they
will get a message saying they cannot view it.

Can we change RevDelete slightly so that the diff links are always shown? 

The effect would be that anyone can identify which diffs are referenced
(because link diffs are available) and click through from the log to the
revision. Any fields they cannot see will either be greyed out, or they will
get a message saying they cannot view the content or diff.

That seems a much more elegant way to do it.

Hello. 
Yesterday I updated  my Mediawiki from 1.15.1 to 1.15.2. After installing I
became a problem with the "Last Changes". It only shows changes from March 06
until present. Older changers are not listened anymore.

The history of normal sites works correctly. My Wiki uses german lanuguage.

I'd like to request the creation of a mailing list for bureaucrats of the Dutch
Wikipedia. Until recently such a mailing list (called bureaucraten-nl) was
hosted by Walter at lists.wikipedia.be and Walter and me were its postmasters.
As the wikipedia.be domain has now been transferred to the Dutch chapter the
mailing list can no longer be hosted at wikipedia.be. We (the bureaucrats)
would like to keep such a mailing though, so I'm requesting it to be hosted at
wikimedia.org. As Walter is no longer a bureaucrat at the Dutch Wikipedia this
new list should have lolsimon [at] wikipedia . be and myself as postmasters and
I propose naming it bureaucrats-nl.

When customize Categorytree-member-num there are 5 parameter, but only the last
parameter has a call to formatnum. I think the call for the other parameter
should do in the Extension and not in the message. Thanks.

The same for categorytree-member-counts.

All in CategoryTreeFunctions.php.

Genericized the bug summary: "Double redirect and Broken redirect special page

My understanding is that there are two types of Special pages, ones that are
permanently disabled and ones that are run via a cronjob every few days. The
cronjob seems to have broken a few months ago.

Hello, the book search in is.wiktionary does not include this page anymore:
http://is.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikior%C3%B0ab%C3%B3k:B%C3%B3kaverslanir
which already worked before, I don't know why this was changed.
Now it only shows these links when searching:

please change it back or tell me how I can do it if I can do that myself (I
already asked in #wikimedia-tech)

You quitted just when I was going to answer.
Don't place '#TILVÍSUN [[Wikiorðabók:Bókaverslanir]]' on Melding:booksources,
just 'Bókaverslanir'.

I created Wikiorðabók:Bókaleit andnow shows it instead of the default. Either
change Melding:booksources or move Wikiorðabók:Bókaverslanir there (depending
on which translation is the best).

If there's no problem with the current fix, best to leave well enough alone. 
The status quo ante gave us irregular widths for the search box on different
browsers, which we may as well avoid anyway, and avoiding that fixes the
problem.

If Liangent means that we should allow arbitrarily long URLs, then this is a
WONTFIX. I think he does so that's how I'm marking it. If he means that the
response code should be 414 instead of 400, then that can be submitted
upstream, to http://bugs.squid-cache.org/

When searching for a word within the editor, the feature usually shows the
found term highlighted in the background.Sometimes, however, the word does
not appear highlighted in the background.  In fact, I can't find the location
of the found word at all.

1. Edit "San Francisco"
2.  Search for "San Francisco"
3.  Click "find next" a few times

The error message that appeared by tracert.

I tried to open the Wikibedia site by my home PC. The PC had tried to accesse
to the site but about ten send lator,it gave up.Other sites or OK to see from
my home PC.

I have checked secury tool, checked by different browsers and different
Windows/PC and also I have had support by my ISP company. However the problem
was not solved. Then my ISP company suggested to ask Wikipedia site to solve
this problem.

My PC (Home)'s IP address is 175.128.42.166.
I have to PC in my home and the OS is Windows7 and XP.

My ISP company and I guess Wikipedia is blocking this IP address.

I tried to do a tracert (Start -> run -> cmd -> tracert wikipedia.org) on my
home PC and the result is the attached jpeg data, which has error message. 

Translation of Japanese error messsage is "Error message was "1 general error"
Tracing is completed."

Would you please checked and solve it?

Can you tracert to sites that are not en.wikipedia.org ? It sounds like you
have a problem with your computer.

http://www.google.com/search?q=tracert+general+error may give you some ideas.

I have two PCs in my home and both PCs have the same problem.Any of other Web
site can be seen from my two PCs except Wikipedia site.

I have not done tracert by another PC, so I will try to do it in this evening
just in case, because I'm in my office now.

FT2, I see what you're saying. But I still don't see this happening as
frequently as you are insinuating. Also it would be necessary for an admin to
have done something against policy for them to need to undelete it in the first
place... that amazingly enough doesn't happen every day. So with 864 admins,
using RevDelete, and one every once in a while screwing up a revdelete... I
just don't see the big issue.

This has been on the back burner for a while, and while I understand the devs
have other things to do, this does need to be high priority, I would even say
right up there with FlaggedRevs.
