It has some issues, I think, which should be taken into account. In the voting
page, it has the place for commenting. There have some comments which
questioned the rules of vote, especially the passing rate. They believed that
the passing rate should be set at 2/3, however, the user who launched this vote
has turned a blind eye to those commments and continued to use the plurality
voting system. The concensus is in question, I think. Best regards, J.Wong

Changing cl_sortkey to utf8 *is* a solution. It needs a sysadmin to do it on
Wikimedia (if we want to do it), and we'd probably also want some core code to
filter out non-BMP characters before they get to the sortkey.

It appears to be linked to calling $parser-recursiveTagParse() (Parser.php)
from ExtDynamicPageList::executeTag() (DPLSetup.php). Going in, it appears to
be a mix of HTML and templates that needs parsing. The returned text now has
html tags around it and is in escaped format.

If you set $wgRawHtml = true;, the problem goes away. (Obviously this is not a
good workaround.)

Please enable patrolled edits for Commons ($wgUseRCPatrol ?)

See also
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:Village_pumpoldid=36466012#Marking_edits_as_patrolled

Previously it was enabled for NewPages but it never got it RC apparently.
Hereby !

I'm not sure how the rights are set as it's been a long time or never since
this was enabled, but it should for now take the same settings as for
NewPages-patrolling (ie. anyone with the patroller or 'higher' usergroup should
be able to [mark as patrolled] and be able to filter on/off patrolled edits in
the RecentChanges-list) - but I think this is already set.

Thank you,
Krinkle

(In reply to comment #0)
It would be good to have a CSS class when in a subpage
(foo/bar) and when in a virtual namespace (foo:bar) so
that customizations can be made for normal pages without
affecting these 2 other kinds of pages.

What sort of customisation could you possibly want to make that would only
involve CSS?

I'm not sure how Wikipedia uses these concepts

Not in a fashion that lends itself to HTML injection, *especially* the 'virtual
namespace' one, whatever that is.

Totally stale, and I'm thoroughly unconvinced that this is in any way useful.

May i ask the stupid question of what exactly is wrong with the way it is
currently? To me it looks perfectly fine the way it is (although admitedly it
looks a tad better in vector then monobook), and i don't really see what needs
to be done, or how it could be made better.

patch to fix misspelled attribute in HTMLForm class

Sorry, was looking at wmf and not latest.

Looks like a bug in HTMLForm class where it outputs the attribute
classes=blah instead of class=blah which causes the css that makes the left
column have a width of 0 not apply. Here is patch

This should be done (and can be done fairly easily) with JavaScript; it is of
no use to anyone except power users, who are sure to have JS enabled. Far too
much complexity and hackishness for such a niche feature. I'd say WONTFIX.

The error class is for just that, messages indicating an unambiguous error in
page rendering. There is nothing necessarily wrong with a redlink; it's
entirely possible that that was the intention. WONTFIX.

 Show some respect!
If you developers want users to make suggestions, than don't put a :) after
 a
comment demonstrating your dislike for users' input. Otherwise simply close
 the
 open bug tracking system.

You can file bugs, which gives us a place to look at them. That doesn't mean
we'll agree with all of them -- that's why the WONTFIX resolution exists.

We already have too many classes in some places, and there's really no limit to
how many classes we could add to the output. If we added classes every time a
user asked for it, our output would become horrifyingly bloated over time.
Best not to go there, and to add no new classes unless there's a very clear
reason.

You can use a.exitw[href*=.wikipedia.org/wiki/] selector. That's not perfect,
but since having a couple of classes per project ([[s:Foo]] and
[[wikisource:Foo]]) isn't much better, I think you better stick with it.
